Where is the comma splice in this sentence? This tutorial was a good exercise to identify run-ons and comma splices, however, it stated there were several different ways to rewrite each sentence. I only found one by breaking the sentences down to two sentences for each with a period separating the two sentences. Did anyone else find different ways to write the sentences other than the example I gave?

SOURCE: does antennas disconnect from back of radio or further down?

Yes it does but in most cases, you need to at least partially remove radio to do it. Booster probably came with instructions. Read & follow them. Unless your'e experienced in this stuff, do NOT cut antenna wire & attempt a splice.

Hi.

Check first the fuse inside the car. There are two 10A fuses for the headlights (a single one in the model with twin headlight), check also if there is a 30A fuse for the headlight dimmer. The dimmer (DLR) should be fuse 17. Check also the head light relay and the DLR relay located under the hood near to the windshield wiper reservoir, they should read HEAD and DLR. This should be marked HEAD.

I tried to scan a wiring diagram from the service manual. Here the picture.

What are the wire colors for a 2006 chrysler pacifica tailight harness?

The wire colors should be Yellow, Black, White and Green. Do not cut or splice anything into this harness. Use the trailer lights Tap connector that is already in the harness. It is located in the left frame rail near the rear bumper. The converter is a plug and play operation. No splicing is needed. Simply unplug the harness at the Tap connector and plug the converter T plug in series with the existing harness.

No rear running lights

go back to where you spliced in the harness and check that you have not spliced a power wire to a ground wire
( only reason why fuses blow is a dead short)

I would like to bypass the pcm to check if the compressor is bad or if its the pcm

U have basically two wires running to compressor - a hot and a ground. Identify the hot wire and splice into it a hot wire from the wall. If compressor is good it should immediately kick on.

1998 cavalier running lights blinking on and off

It's either the ground your splices are corroding or it could be a loose connection at the bulb connector. If all of the running lights are flashing at the same time then I would look at the ground and splices. You should always solder your splices together

Having electrical problems, power windows , locks. and mirrors dont work , when opening drivers door ,the radio stays on. maybe harness in door jam is the problem

This is usually a bad splice in the driver's side door sill to the VSM ( Vehicle Security Module ) behind the rear seat.
The splice for the std cab is closer to the a-pillar and the SuperCab / SuperCrew the splice is closer to the c-pillar

The Std Cab splice location ( Blue w/ White stripe wire )
sscullys_84.jpg

SuperCab / SuperCrew splice ( purple wire - very close to where the wires run up the c-pillar )
sscullys_85.jpg

As you can see there are a lot of wires in the door sill, it will take some time to locate the splice. The splice is 1 wire from 1 direction to 2 wires the other direction, and covered in something that looks & feels like hockey stick tape.

Ford f150 crew cab 2004...what controls radio and dome light delays? when I open my door the dome light Does NOT come on, it used to. it DOES come on when I shut the truck off,and open the door. ALSO, when...

This can be one of 2 things.

1. The door ajar switch ( part of the door latch ) is gummed up and a good spraying of WD-40 can clean it out. Could take several times to cure the issue.

The other specific to New Body Style 04-08 MY F-150 :

2. There is a bad splice in the driver's side door sills. On the SUperCrew it is usually closer to the c-pillar on the rear door.
These are pictures of the 2 splice locations :
sscullys_38.jpg

sscullys_39.jpg

The splice is a 3 way splice ( 2 wires to 1 wire ) and covered in something that looks like hockey tape. The splice gets wet, and no longer wrks. You might have to go back further into the harness to find wire that is not discolored if this is the case. Takes quite a bit of time to find the splices, as there are a lot of wires in the door sill.

CHeck the black wire in between the door and frame. There is a cluster of wires in a rubber boot. Guaranteed that the black wire is broken. Splice it back together.

Lost the power to drive side memory seats and mirrow's and also dvd player, fuses arent hte problem changed them out and the old ones were still good

Under the driver's side door sill there is a splice that is wrapped in something that looks like hockey tape.

Depending on the cab configuration, this is either towards the front driver's side kick panel ( by the hood latch ) or at the rear, where the wiring runs up the c-pillar.
The door sill plate is held on with 3 spring clips, use a plastic trim tool, or plastic putty knife, if you do not have the trim tool to remove it.

The splice you are looking for is in the bundle of wires that are tapped together shown above.
This is what the splice will look like ( the color can change, depending on the items not working, purple seems to be the most common )
91782ca.jpg

It will take some time to find and check the splice, but it is an easy fix.
This is for a case where the fuses are fine, but there is no power at the connector for the item ( might notice the power mirrors do not work either )
When you fix the splice, use marine heat shrink after soldering in a piece of wire to extend the length of the run ( to provide room for the new splices ), the marine heat shrink has the water proofing gel that will seal the ends of the heat shrink tube, and not let water back into the splice.

2000 pontiac montana power window|locks doesnt work but the fuses are good and wiring to doors is good

I had a 99 with the same problem, and suggest you check under the passenger side front carpet. Remove the flat door kick plate, lift up the carpet on the front passenger side floor and you will see a large wiring harness running along the floor, wrapped in black tape. Water and salt gets into this harness and will rot out several wire splices that you will see. Look for wires that run from 2 wires down into one (under black tape.) These are spliced together, and rot out. There was several large gauge wires/splices(windows up and down) and I think 2 very thin wires/splices (lock/unlock) . Even if the wires look connected, give them a good tug, they will come apart and be green with corrosion. This is a very common problem and worth the effort to check out. Repairing these splices fixed both the power windows and locks at the same time. Good luck
