07 mini change the cam sensor and timing code keep come back on saying timing to far advance

possibly not the sensor but the hydraulic adjuster that controls the cam timing
the cam sensor reports the cam position in relation to engine rpms and the ECM adjusts the cam position by the hydraulic servo / solenoid to the preset cam position for that rpms
I suspect that the problem will be in that servo / solenoid

Cam shaft sensor code p0340 replaced still no start

You will get a cam shaft code if the timing belt is broken. This could be you issue. I would check the timing belt before you go any further.
It can damage your engine if you keep trying to start it.

97 breeze won't start keep getting no signal from cam sensor and engine coolant temp sensor voltage out of range have changed cam sensor crank sensor ignition coil tests good

Check to see that the wiring going to the cam sensor is good. Have you pulled the codes? If not, you should get a code reader. If you pull a P0016 code, then it's mechanical failure. Your timing jumped.

No voltage on crank sensor grand am 2001 2.4

The crank and cam sensors produce ac voltage that is sent to the computer. There are magnets or components on the crank and cam that the sensors "read".
The problem could be the harness between the sensors and the computer, or a mechanical problem like a timing chain or gear.

95 Mazda b2300 2.3: will a bad cam position an a bad crank position sensor make my truck not start? Also will a lil bit of oil on the cam position sensor cause it to go bad?

You seldom have both sensors fail at the same time.
Either one could keep the truck from starting.
You should have a trouble code for one of them if they have failed.
As for fuel, do you know you are getting power to the pump ?

Cams not in sink with crankshaft marks do not line up motor turns over too many times for start up

if your going to keep the car, search online for a download (free). if not go to local auto parts and buy a repair manual as this will not be the only time it will come in use. some motors the cams dont align with crankshaft marks. some cams have alignment hole in the head that you put bolts in,some cams have slots that need a flat bar to align with the head surface,. does this car start or run? did belt tension allow belt to slip, does car misfire? get the $ 25 manual and check your concerns, if the cams are not properly timed then something caused this, tensioner, bad belt, bad idler pulleys, bad cam gear, possible bad key way on cam your checks and homework, try not to turn motor over untill you diagnose problem to ensure you do not cause any internal damage to the valves or cylinder heads, pistons.

Top end cam and crank chains are off! I rebuilt the 1999 2.7 motor and used haynes manuel to set timing marks but when keep cam marks at 90 degrees and set main timing chain on marks, it makes cam timing...

google Dodge 2.7 timing images........... the 2nd and 3rd images that come up are drawings of the timing chain assembly. Hit either one of these , and you will get full instructions for doing the job. Note ... by my eye it does not look like the timing marks on the cam pullys are exactly at the top. Slightly off to one side.

Cam sensor misfire

If the mechanic pulled a code for a cam sensor, it is very possible that as it gets hot, the cam sensor starts to produce a degraded signal and the engine progressively runs worse. I'd replace the cam sensor without hesitation. The trip to the dealership will cost more than taking an educated shot at the cam sensor.
