What I've done with each vehicle I've purchased or otherwise legally acquired, is to get a Chiltons/Haynes repair manual that covers the make/model/year. There are sections on troubleshooting, electronics schematics, and all sorts of other information, along with pictures and diagrams, to keep your vehicle going. And how to deal with interior trim, etc. At the very least, if repair is out of range of ability, you have some information so a mechanic doesn't overcharge or claim it needs a repair totally unrelated.

How to remove locked nut from axcle

If you want to remove an anti theft nut because you have misplaced the correct adaptor ,then tyre shops use a socket that is just slightly smaller than the nut and hit it in with a heavy hammer to make it's own flats then undo the socket which generally removes the nut. Only problem is that the nut will be no good when you get it off

The driverside headlight burns dim and the highbeam doesn't work. some times neither headlight comes on and i have to jiggle the passenger side harness to get them on.

You have a faulty/loose connector to chassis. Try to see what is moving when you move the harness and check all connections for tightness and corrosion.
I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
I appreciate your vote if you appreciate my reply.

How to replace spark plugs on the Peugeot 206

The step by step instructions to replace spark plugs on the Peugeot 206 are as follows:-
1) Disconnect the battery by removing the positive connector.

2) Using a 10mm spanner or long socket remove the two studs with nuts attached on the coil pack which is located at the top back of the engine. Un-clip the hose that connects to the rocker case cover and air intake hose and move it aside.
3) Pull the coil pack out and move to aside the right. You may have to disconnect the plug adaptor, but you should be able to get away with leaving it to the right.
4) Using a suitable size spark plug socket and a flexi extension bar and rachet or tommy bar undo each socket and replace with an appropriate new spark plugs.
5) Reassemble exactly in reverse order of the above.
Thanks. you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

Changing plugs on 2004 xlt explorer

sometimes when your changing the plugs you have to use extensions, swivels in either 3/8 or 1/4 with an adaptor to use the 3/8 socket. or you can purchase a special spark plug socket that swivels on its own. and then there are those vehicles that you have to tilt the motor to get the back spark plugs out and in.
please rate this

2001 Blazer - engine warning light stays on

You have a problem with the O2 sensor on bank 2, bank 2 is the bank opposite the bank that #1 cylinder is in, but I would recommend that you replace the bank 1 and 2 sensors as a pair, the factory always wanted it done that way, and you know how cheap they are. The O2 or oxygen sensors are located before the catalytic convertors near the exhaust manifold, they will have anywhere from 2 to 4 wires at the connector, you may need a special socket to remove them if access is a issue. When the parts are installed, disconnect the battery for 5 minutes and that will clear the code. Good luck, don't burn yourself!

Right Indicator light (Amber) is not working

Try installing a different bulb in that socket. Did you check voltage at the inner prongs where the bulb goes in or was it checked at the wiring. Check the condition of the socket that the bulb goes into. You may have to cut off the socket and replace it with a good one.

Cigarette lighter sockets no power

Cell phone chargers commonly blow the fuses at the power points. It seems that our charger adaptors do not match the socket properly, and the positive part of the charger hits the negative of the socket, resulting in a blown fuse. If you have a charger, and it works, leave it in the socket. Don't take it with you. Repeated insertions of the adaptor to the socket magnifies this issue.
