Diagnostic test said codes P0300, P0017, P0068, and dash says reduced power, and is running very rough.

Put those code into google for description & fix

OBD2 PO300 etc

You can print code charts also

Codes won't tell you what is wrong, the web sites may

Codes don't tell you to change anything, you have to know
how to component test, doubt you will find that, need factory
manuals

Helm.Com for manuals

Two of codes are not generic-- so thus the internet search

The PO300 is random cylinder misfires,no value by it'self

All fuses and circuit breakers for a 2005 GMC Canyon are located in the engine compartment fuse block.

This subject is covered in the 2005 GMC Canyon Owner's Manual on pages 5-98 through 5-102.

2005 canyon GMC, 5 cylinder. Ignition switch times out on security code that leaves me sitting for about 10 minutes before re-trying to start. Starter engages, but fuel is shut off.Local Chevy dealer is...

Sorry to say that vehicle has had electrical issues
over the years & I would like to get one, before they start
coming from Brazil next year ,with no frame under them,
starting in 2013 possibly. I'm not going any where near that
5 cylinder engine. It is a V8 etc or I'm out

The dealer is your only hope there.

Forget me & the other guy

The dealer has all the resources & factory field
support to resolve the problem

2004 GMC Canyon 3.5L crew cab with Maint Req'd light

It may be true that the dealer told him that, however I doubt the truck rolled off the assembly line like that. I also doubt GM put that light there for no reason. There is a reason it came on and if it was me I would want to know.
