The fact of you getting gas, probably, doesn't have anything to do with it, that is unless, the gas had an extremely high ethanol content and caused your engine to super heat, of course this is highly unlikely. Most cars have sensors to monitor coolant flow, oil pressure and temperature, if one of those has become defective, then a safety feature to save the engine might be kicking in to shut off the motor. before severe damage is done. That is the problem with sensors very often one does not know if there is an actual problem, or the sensor itself. Question: Is your service engine light on? If so then check for codes. Many parts stores (e.g. Auto Zone) will check for codes for free.

Testimonial: "When it happened the cel came on with oil. When I restarted car, all was off & looked & sounded normal. I drove 1/2-1 football field in length & it happened again. Again started rt back up. I parked and am waiting a tow. I'm too far from home to risk driving and engine shutting down as I must get on freeway."

SOURCE: Oil Pressure Warning light

Sounds like possiblity of the oil pump being bad, and is setting off other sensors on your car.

SOURCE: Oil pressure light is blinking.

It's very possible a coincidence and that the flashing oil light is the oil pressure switch. I'd check it out immediately to make sure there's sufficient oil flowing through the engine. Merely jump starting the car shouldn't have knocked anything loose so to be on the safe side, assume there's an oil pressure issue. You were right to not use the car in the interim.

1995 trans sport van new fuel pump, won't start

If the pump continued to run after shutting off the car you fuel pump relay was probably staying latched. I would replace the relay as well based on your info. Along with the pump the fuel filter should be replaced too and fuel pressure should be checked. Make sure your ground is good also.

Engine clatter

Have a mechanic or shop put a mechanical oil pressure gauge in the oil pressure sending unit's mounting hole. Check oil pressure against the spec for your car. Does the warning light turn on every time this happens? If so, try to check oil pressure when the light is on-you may have an intermittent oil pressure problem, or oil pressure may just be too low. Don't believe it's a sensor, don't know how, but not familiar with your newer ride. Something as simple as a pick up tube gasket that leaks could cause low oil pressure. If that happens, the top end of engine will clatter-not getting enough oil up there.

You got a false signal for some unknown reason, Not to worry, If there is a pressure problem the light will either stay on or blink on and off.

2007 magnum se 2.7 v6 wont turn over

Sounds like the engine is toast.
The warning light means the oil pressure has dropped below 10psi which can mean the engine is low on oil, or that something has happened to the oil pump or other components.
The crank bearings may be seized from lack of oil.
See if you can turn the crank by turning the alternator pulley.

Try putting some dry gas in the tank. There could be a little water in the tank. Also try a fuel injector cleaner. Simply follow the instructions on the bottles. Good Luck!!!
