A nuber of things could be wrong but the first thing to do is check oil level and verify you have good oil pressure. If that is good then you are looking at internal engine malfunction. Either tappets or road bearings. Or even something as simple as bad gas. But without more information it is hard to make an accurate estimate. Is it smoking.and if so what color.
