Question about 2005 Buick Rendezvous
I am having a few probems with my 2005 buck rendezvous. the front driver heated seat does not work anymore, and i have checked under the seat for broken or unplugged wires, i need to check the fuse but i dont beleive that is the problem either. also, my back hatch only opens with the original key fob button. have tried unlocking all doors with the interier buttons and the key fob, neither work. only way to open it is to push the open hatch button on the fob.
Heated seat issues are almost Dealer Only repairs
The dealers, some anyway, bring in outside seat folks,
after 5:30 when the service bays closes, to do seats
I am well versed in the heated seat issues
They not only require the dealer techs, the outside seat
folks, they need hours of wire checking & as with my
car, many go on for years & never be resolved
Keep in mind, I'am a 50 year experienced vehicle person,
all be it, retired, I do today's diagnostics on vehicles
The seat & all the other issues can & many to some extend
be on a Network called a CAN as was mentioned on another
Controlled Area Network where modules talk to each other
So your off to a dealer,my suggestion for ALL your issues
Never say a dealer very often, never what I suggest, but
we are going that way with current technology

i suspect im im going to get booted off the site for constantly making this suggestion, but find a users group for your car.
I'm on groups for just about everything I own (including my electric toothbrush) and information abounds.
All the best.

SOURCE: cigarette lighter/ Auxillary power not working in front or back. 2005 Buick Rendezvous... I have checked and replaced the fuse under the hood (#32).. is there some car language I dont understand that
There may be more power distribution boxes with more fuse's under the dash, and under the rear seat, drivers side usually.
