It could be check engine or something to do with fuel pump. if I was you i would check gas cap. i would go to auto zone and look in book for the code. then take it from there

Whats the code for this truck if it wont start

There are many codes that will not let the truck start. There are other problems that do the same and won't set a code. Have the codes read, post them, and a description of what it is doing or has done. Then we can try to help you with your problem.

Codes changing why?

There are many possible causes. Make sure you have the right firing order. Look for vacuum leaks--maybe intake gasket. Read at the link below, starying around the middle of the document.

Truck would not start had a obd code 340 changed cps started good for 2 wks then it showed a 340 code would not start.

When you get OBD Codes-- you do not change parts

You use the codes & trouble charts-- to component test--
the system-- that set the fault code,to find a problem

If you found no problem, or no tested & failed part, why
change it?

Without factory service & diagnostic manuals & professional
scan tool software & wiring diagrams, your at the mercy of
a repair shop, because you do not have the info or knowledge
needed, to work on a vehicle

Dodge Ram Problems code 43

  • What were the actual codes you pulled? Codes can be deceiving so it is more beneficial if I have them all.

  • On the fuel rail there is a little valve used for testing (and relieving) fuel pressure. Throw a fuel gauge on there and try to start the truck. Take note of the fuel pressure as you are attempting to start the truck. If the truck starts note the fuel pressure while running and when you shut the truck off.

  • If you get that information to me I can further help you.

  • Hope this helps.

1992 ford f150....would not start put the odb1 code reader on it gave me a 593 code saying defroster was on turned off defroster and truck started....began to flush/backflush radiator truck was running...

Your problem does not have anything to do with code 593, the computer reset therefore allowing the truck to start. unplug your EGR valve and see if it starts up then, if so and runs normal replace your egr valve, if no change check/replace your Idle Air Control Valve.

Hey there, how do I check the codes, how to jump

The codes have nothing to do with starting or not starting the car. No start means it is either getting no fuel or no spark. The codes are to diagnose a driveability or emission problem.
