I think my starter or solenid is going. I can only start it about half the time on the first try. Otherwise it takes multiple times to turnover. Is the starter a pain to change on a 2000 Isuzu Rodeo?

i think you are on the right track it sounds like an solenide. But it could also be a starter pinion, the bit on the end of the starter/small gear. But its the starter motor that the problem ,sometimes you can get a recondition motor ,anyway not a big problem ,let me know if you need any more help.adrian,,,,,,,,

Clicking noise or no sound when turning on the

If the battery is weak there won't be enough voltage to engage the solenid so it will click or do nothing. If the battery is good a bad solenoid will also.

I've been told my immobilizer is shot and need to find an engine ECU,immobilizer ECU and key all from same car or mine is a scrapper , can yu give me some info as i know next to nothing on cars , its a...

The immobilizer essentially is a relay they spliced in series between the ignition lock and starter solenoid. All you have to do is jumper these 2 wires back together again. You can test wich wire to the immobilizer is from the ignition by watching a test light probed to the contacts when someone cranks the engine. The solenid wire is easier to trace because you can follow it from the starter.

2004 nissian altima solenid problem

Your dad must have had his smarty pants on, the problem is likely the brake light switch, but I would get under there with a test light and a wiring diagram, make sure the switch has power before you replace it.
