I believe Metric Hex Driver-- for the calipers

You will just have to look at the bolts or fasteners
& figure out the size

The back will be different

You may have to go to the Snap-On truck to find the tools

Why not have the rotors machined?

They should last 3 to 4 years with one or two machining

Changed the rear rotors and brake pads and there is a grinding noise

Here is what I have found out. I have an 2008 Toyota Tundra 5.7 4x4, and I changed the rear brakes and rotors. No noise prior to service. After installing new rotors, I started getting a metal scraping noise. After $300.00 in diagnostics, I found that the new rotors are rubbing the against the brake shield. The inner lip of the rotor needs to be machined down to avoid this rubbing. See toyota tundra for pics.

you need to remove the hub assem then remove the rotor from the hub by knocking out the studs out

I just replaced the rotors on my GMC Sierra 3500HD 4x4 duelly. I am picking up a sound on the driver side rear axle bearings. Not sure if I over tightened or not (lock nut). I wasn't sure. Does an

My info says, for 10.5--11.5--12.5 ring gear
tighten nut 52 ft lbs, loosen nut, then finger tight, If you need to loosen just a bit to line up key-way, that's fine. I don't know the socket size, good luck. It's always best to verify specs. I can only post what my database showed?

Changed front rotors and pads on 1995 dodge ram 2500 diesel compressed calipers,now calipers will not fit over rotors

first make sure you have the right rotors as they make different sizes for anti lock or 4x4 or h/d if you sure you have the right ones then the calipers may not be all the way open often we press them open prior to remove the old pads if that was the case try press them whit a new pad only as it opens the second pad will fit in please let me know if this helped if you need further assistance i'll be glad to help

I need to know the size nut that holds the rotor on a 95 ford f-250 4x4 I have to rent the socket but they dont know the size.....and I called the dealer and they have no clue....

measure the nut across the face from one 'flat' to the 'flat' opposite and paralell to the first.that's the wrench size you can fasion a 'gauge w/ a piece of cardboard.I suspect it's 1 1/2 inch.

Front end shakes when braking

One or both of your new rotors probably have some run-out in them.Not entirely unusual to have warped rotors right out of the box.I would check this before considering other things. machine rotors....good luck

Have taken off the calipers and axle nut on my 2000 chevy 4x4 3500 dually, and have hit the rotors with a 5 lb hammer, but cannot get the rotors off. What am I doing wrong. I need to change the rotors on...

spray some penatrating oil around the center where the rotor slides on the hub assembly, let it set for a few min then hit the rotor from the back, and rotate it while you hit it!!!!

Changing brakes and rotors

Remove te cross pins that hold the caliper and the brake pads in place, then remove the caliper bracket, there are 2 bolts at the backside, then the rotro just slides off, clean any rust on the rotor mount area while the rotor is off, then using a large clamp depress the piston in the brake caliper and reinstall in reverse order, one word of caution, use quality replacement parts, Wagner is very good, if you don't use good parts you will end up with poor brake performance.
