Question about 1996 Chevrolet Tahoe
If you are talking about a fuel pump inertia switch; that is a Ford feature. Not used on GM's unless it is a 2 mode hybrid.(shuts down electrical system on those)

Assuming asking about inertia switch that is related to the crash/airbag sensor - under center console - technically under dash.
