SOURCE: where does the ground wire on the starter get grounded

You can bolt the ground wire anywhere to the metal body or frame of the car since the battery is attached to the frame and body all electricity flowing through the body/frame goes to the negative terminal of the battery(ground). Preferably you would bolt it as close as possible to the starter without putting in danger of moving parts or heat though.

SOURCE: I have a 2011 Chev.

If you change your own oil you may void your warranty. The dealer uses Chevron oil and an AC Delco oil filter. Fram is a good oil filter too and the delco you would have to get from the dealer. The fram oil filter part number is PH10060 and oil wise anything is good except Pennzoil. If you choose to run synthetic oil though dont go back to conventional oil.

SOURCE: how to change cool'nt in a VE commodore holden

to change the coolant in any engine you need to firstly remove the bottom radiator hose when the engine is cold not when the engine is hot and drain the whole system.
You then need to get some coolant from your local supplier and it will tell you on the container the proper ratio of water to cool it. Once you have put to cool it in top up the system with clean water.Regards

I have a Ve commodore sidi and can't find the fuel pump relay. Book shows it at passengers footwell but it isn't there

Hi Joel If not in left side kick panel(early models).Normally above or below fuse remover clip.
Check left side of boot in rear electrical centre. Should be in hand book, should also be a picture in the fuse cover
If neither of these places may not have a relay it will be dependent on type of fuel system. You have not stated why you require to find fuel pump relay. Do you have a start or running issue?

Holden GM 3.6 SIDI which has no compression in number 4 cylinder? mechanic thinks it is a stuck Valve. Can youdiagnose? Thanks and is it an expensive repair. Any tips to help it unstick. Cheers Mate.

Hi do you know history of vehicle ? Has it had regular oil changes through out it's life, these engines do sludge up if not looked after. Try wet compression test 1st then rocker cover requires removal for no 4 cyl for diagnosis. 1st.Check for sludging , broken valve spring, or any other issues for no 4cyl. If sludging is pressent my advise is unless complete engine strip down and rebuild is carried out do not carry out repair. Chances are it wont last long. These engines completely rely on good oil circulation. A new engine or second hand engine would be advisable. If second hand remove a rocker cover and check for sludging before fitting. Also ensure the engine is correct for your vehicle or you may have ECU issues. In other words engine has to be removed again. Good luck.
