What Cord?

Your asking about plugging it into the homes
electrical outlet ?

Can't use just any cord, not a two prong lamp cord
type extension,no

You use a three prong grounded extension wire

Does it not have several feet of wire on it & a three
prong plug?

You use a standard outdoor extension, like you
would for a vacuum cleaner outside

If you use it a lot, buy a short 6 foot one, just to
use with it

How about the owners manual ?

I hope you won't take this as a insult But I would get rid of it for two reasons First it is damaged (no cord or plug ) second with 50 years of automotive experience I would suggest you never use a product like that in you light outet You can ruin the cars electronics if you do so The light was designed to charge your phone nothing else You also can not jump a vehicle with a light plugin item Three reasons Don't fix it & don't use it Ask us first next time

Please don't take this as an insult but i decided to try using a drop chord to charge it and it worked just fine. And i am a female but I'm not incompetent I was just telling you what was on it not trying to use the port to charge it

I have a D5805 STARTER-UP 400 Jump Starter and need instructions for it. where can I get them.

you can buy one at any good car sale shop and make sure you
read all the instructions before useing it as jump starting is always fit red [POS] cable to both cars or batterys first and then fit the black cable lead last, when finished remove the Earth lead [black]First with car doing the charging turned off.
When charging car to car let engine run for approx 4 minutes at 800 rpm then let it idle for 2 minutes before starting the second car

Car wiil not start while turning key but makes a ticking noise

Obvious choise is a dead battery.

Check your lights, horn (horn often sounds weak or sickly with a dead battery.)

If a dead battery, check the battery terminals for corrosion.

Try charging or jumping the car off. If it starts, take to an auto parts place, most will do a battery/alternator check for free. (Be prepared, they will make you kill the engine, which means you either buy a battery there & replace, or better have cables to jump off and drive somewhere else. on other hand, most will lend you some wore out tools to install the new battery, but their insurance does not allow them to do it for you. )

2001 Santa Fe possible starter problem

Yes, because the bushings wear out, causing the armature to hit the field under starting load.....dead short. Jumping gives you added amperage allowing the starter to work. (forcing it to work) Buy a new one.
P.S. DON"T RUN YOUR ENGINE WITH THE BATTERY DISCONNECTED!!!!!! You will cook your alternator........zzzzzzzzzzz!

How much to fix the starter in my 97 oldsmbile achieva

maker sure you have proper voltage. Anything less then 12.2 will cause a starter to act like its OUT.

Commonly looking at around 300 bucks for a new starter and shop rate to replace.

Check that battery first. thats my guess. especailly since you have been jumping it. The cells are probably too dead to hold any charge and its sucking up all the voltage from the car your jumping from. Especially in COLD weather. GOOD LUCK! -jeff
