It is a cylinder type relay. You will find two, one for the hazzard lights and the other for the signals.

I usually fix anything that is broken in my car. So I'd say yes, it is good to fix it.

Check all grounds everywhere

Check alternator output,both voltage & current

At some point you may just want to replace the head
lights or lamps which ever applies,AFTER you solve
the dimming thing

Is the battery really old

What you fail to think could even be considered
worth checking out,usually bites you

Stick to basics & don't assume anything TEST
