Question about Cars & Trucks
I have a bravada and the transmission wont sift down to 1st..and when you start out,it starts out in 2nd,i shift lever in 1 and the trans will sift down,,then i move shifter up and it will shift,,but not 3rd and o/d...i have a code of torque converter,,and swift timming solenoids sensore
Have your code reset at a garage or checked,this is something you need checked at a garage unless you are a qualified mechanic to do this kind of work

The Shift solenoids are located in the transmission oil pan. I would recommend replacing both shift solenoids while you're in there. Also replace the filter and pan gasket. The shift solenoids are located towards the rear of the valvebody and will be identical to each other. They are held in place by a retaining clip which is easily removed with a small screwdriver or similar tool. Care must be taken as parts may fly out of the bore when the solenoids are removed. Check the fluid level. You may want to consider having the transmission flushed. (I recommend BG Products flush system.) Properly flushing the trans removes any varnish the may have built up causing erratic behavior.
