Apologies, I should have added more information. I am wondering how to stop my vehicle being speed limited. I have a Dodge Ram 2004 48RE Trans Cummins 5.9 Common Rail. The chassis number is P52854238AA and it is a mining vehicle if that is helpful at all.

You need to reflash the ECM - depending on the exact model of your installed ECM you might even need to rechip it.

That\'s a job for very specialized tuning shops. You can even find online ones to which you can send your ECM.

Beware, that will surely void both your warranty and your insurance and it\'s illegal in most places.

My daf xf 480 an error in speed engine, it maximum 2000 rpm, what i have to do?

take it to a DAF service center or have a technician come out to inspect the fault
with limited engine rpms it is possibly in limp mode where the ECM restricts the engine speed and vehicle speed because it has registered a fault that is detrimental to the engine or transmission
LImp mode is only available to allow the vehicle to get to a safe place to stop so that the codes can be read and repairs effected

Loss of engine power/transmission 2001 chevy tahoe over 65 mph

Sound's as though a previous owner installed a speed governor so that the engine would not exceed the nationwide 55-65 mph speed limit average. This most likely was a company owned vehicle or owned by someone concerned about speeding ticket's or excessive speed by a teenage driver. It can be uninstalled by an experienced mechanic. Unless this poses a problem while driving on an interstate, you may wish to leave it as is.

Code p1270 Indicates the vehicle has been operated in a manner which caused the engine or vehicle to exceed a calibration limit. The engine RPM and vehicle speed are continuously monitored and evaluated by the PCM. The best way to stop this code from coming back is to make sure the vehicle is not driving at a high rate of speed... or the engine is not at a high rpm for a extended period of time.

How do i use the 4wd

Hi,

Bring your vehicle to a full and complete stop. The system will not properly engage if the vehicle is moving.

Shift the vehicle into first gear, second gear, or reverse before engaging the 4-wheel-drive system. The system is limited based on the speed of the vehicle, and these gears are within the speed range of the system's capabilities.

For Honda piliot, engage the VTM-4 system by pressing the VTM-4 Lock button on your Pilot's dashboard. The button will illuminate to confirm that the system is engaged.

I hope this helps.

Does a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport have a "governor?" Just wondering because when the vehicle is in neutral or park the RPM will not go above 3000 but it will go higher if in drive.

This is called a rev. limiter. Most vehicles are equipped with these to prohibit over-revving in neutral and to protect the engine from damage. Its not a governor.
