No fuel reaching motor where do I look

It might have a primary and a secondary pumping system( 2 pumps)
One would lift the fuel and the second pump pushes the fuel, from the tank.

Other note, disconnect the fuel line up by the motor, add fuel to the line so it goes back to the tank, that should prime the pump for fuel delivery.

Might need a seringe or small funnel to add fuel.

For fuel filter replacement. The gas tank does NOT need to be removed. After removing the rear (second row) seats and carpet, the fuel filter and pump are reached through a screwed on access cover in the floor. Draining the tank isn't necessary. A special spanner wrench is needed to remove the filter/pump assembly.
This filter replacement looks relativly easy, even following safty precautions and system pressure relief, and a less then $20.

Could be the wiring to the gas tank or the fuel pump which in most cars is in the gas tank, to remove the gas tank you'll need correct size wrench, floor jack (placed directly centered under the gas tank, and floor stands to hold the car steady.
Jack up the car, put floor stands in place, remove the wiring (check it to see it burned out or any other type of defect) remove bolts holding the tank in place then lower your floor jack (which should have never been removed) slowly take out the fuel pump carefully so nothing breaks off and stays in the fuel tank and replace it.

Power not reaching pump while in tank. Check for bad fuse or relay in power line to pump.

fuel filter located in fuel tank with the fuel pump.to remove fuel filter with fuel pump you can remove fuel pump from the trunk area.just remove spare tire and jack.then remove floor trunk liner.now you are at the fuel pump reach.

First, put a jack up under the fuel pump. then remove the two straps that hold the fuel tank or their might be a skidplate you have to remove first. when removed, slowly let tank down slightly so you can get to the fuel lines. there should be two lines and one hose. there might be more, if so just remove them. then remove the filler neck hose clamps and pull the hoses off of the neck where the gas goes in. then there should be one or two connectors. after that it should be safe to lower and set on the ground. then remove the fuel pump by either unscrewing a cap on the top of the pump or sliding a ring around until it comes off. then pull the old pump out and put the new one in. i recommend a fuel pump assembly over just the pump because the assembly wires become corroded or brittle and will sometimes be the reason your fuel pump doesnt work. install is reverse of removal.
P.S. check under your back seat or in the trunk under the carpet to see if you have a service panel for your fuel pump. if so then just take that off and you can pull the pump out without dropping the tank.

Hello, If the D is for diesel, then you will have to siphon to fuel out of the tank until you make the fuel tank light enough to drop the tank. Then remove the tank, turn it upside down after removing the fuel pump. The gasoline that is in the tank by mistake at best could be used in a 2 cycle engine. For the most part it is junk fuel. Otherwise it can be used to start fires or clean tools.

Add a small amount of diesel to the tank and swish it around and dump that fuel as waste. Then try to immerse the fuelpump(if in tank) in diesel fuel to get out the lighter more explosive gasoline. Try blowing out the fuel that has reached the motor and have the fuel filters changed. When everything is together add only several gallons to prime the system before trying to start it.

If you suspect gasoline is in the injectors, they may have to be removed and cleaned too.

Now if you added Diesel to a car using gasoline, then it can be a little easier to fix. You can use the fuel pump in the tank to drain the tank via the fuel line coupler at the fuel filter. Remove the filter and turn on the key with a rubber line connected to the tank side of the fuel line. The fuel pump will drain the tank. It would be good to remove and clean the tank, but not necessary. The residual Diesel fuel will dilute over time.

If either fuel is mixed together there will be vapors. Ventilate and put down a rubber mat or blanket under the catch bucket to insulate it from sparks and static.

The Fuel Pump is Located In the Fuel TANK and is ONLY Accessable With TANK REMOVED

Too bad GM doesnt provide a cover to access tank without dropping the tank. I would think creating this "hole" would be quite the endeavor and done correctly would add quite the additional time and expense. Decline cutting holes and drop the tank in order to service the pump/sender. Any reputable repair firm should or would never recomend this measure in order to access the pump in the fuel tank I would hope....
