Question about 1998 Ford Expedition
Problems are as listed.#1.engine running brake light and abs light in dashboard flash. when you put your foot on brake pedal abs brake light in dashboard go out but come back on once you release brake pedal.#2.key not in ignition switch headlamps on only passanger side headlight works.#3 key in ignition headlight switch off both headlights shine but very dim.#4 key in ignition vehicle running switch parking lamps on vehicle runs fine.#5key in ignition vehicle running switch headlight switch on vehicle dies instantly as if your were turning the vehicle off with the key. but if vehicle is running and switch headlight switch back to parking lamp setting or completly off vehicle will regain power and continue to run strong.all grounds have been checked all fuses and relays have been checked even the battery starter and alternator have been checked and all tested fine no to mention everything else in this vehicle thats electrical works.so pardon me when i say this but wtf is going on with this truck?
Could be the ignition switch itself. Under the hood where all the wires go into the fusebox in the cab is a good pkace to start. You need to take the bolt/nut off and pull the box and wires apart. I have seen fuse blocks heavily corroded and cause problems as you are haveing. Also could be the ecm (aka)computer in your car is going bad. You can get a remanufactured one cheap. And it is simple and strait forward

Well that kind of sounds like a bad connection, but it was difficult understanding with no good punctuation... Have you checked the battery terminals? If not, do so, and have your alternator checked too. I've seen some really goofy stuff happen when some vehicles don't get enough power.
