It's a pain in the backside but, you're going to have to remove the door panel and manually trip the door lock actuator or latch assembly.

Hi Mike i have a 2001 olds aurora with both rear doors and windows out of commission. Seems like neither is getting any power the windows don't go up or down and my keyless remote will not unlock or...

There is a control module in each door with connectors. I have already had one where the wiring in the connector was bad. This takes some troubleshooting, but sometimes moving things around while trying to run the windows will should you where the loose connection is.

My left side rear door will not open, (from the inside or outside), is this a child lock provblem, where do I locate the relay?

Sounds like a siezed door lock latch. if you cannot unlock the lock then it will be a siezed latch and possible a lock actuator. the siezed latch puts strain on the actuator until it no longer works.

Cannot open rear door.

Hi:
You need to physically remove the old door lock solenoid . When they fail, they sieze up, and you cant unlock the door. you should be able to manually unlock or lock the door with the old solenoid removed.

The locking mechanism on the rear passenger door isnt working. The door will close but the metal catch will not lock. How do i repair?

I have seen some times the latch assemblys get rusty or dirty and the inside or outside door handles are pulled and the latch assembly siezes in the open position not allowing the door to latch closed..but this may not be the case .. check to see also if the child lock switch position is not stuck in the halfway position, also check if the latch has not flipped to the close position before the door was closed thus jamming the striker latch..this can be fixed by pulling the catch out while opening the door handle..hope this helps good luck...

Rear door won't open

this is fairly common i,m afraid and there is no easy solution.:(......the lock mechanism siezes up you can try banging the door just below the hanldle while you cycle the central locking it sometimes releases it,otherwise you have to pull door panel off and then remove window regulator with the door stuck shut.then you need to basically destroy the lock with a hammer and bar to get it to release.this is not a easy job .i would recomend vw specialist or main dealer.sorry to be the bearer of bad news.hope you get on ok.
