Window on left derivs side not working

Possibly the switch or the motor itself. Need to pull the door panel and test for power at the window motor plug while working the switch. The positive and negative reverse at the motor plug through the switch. Touch a test light to the motor's plug and hit the switch eaither way. No light and the switch is bad. The light comes on and the motor is bad.

My driver side window wasn't working so i replaced the switch but the driver side window still wont go down. Any info on how to repair my problem, thinking its the motor but can't find any videos...

remove your door panel, disconnect the motor plug, grab your car battery with 2 cables one in each terminal and connect them on the motor plug, one cable in each pin, be careful that the cables don´t touch each other. The polarity doesn't matter, cause if you change them they are going up or they will go down ok. If the window it's up and it doesn't move change the polarity and it should go down. If it works then it could be the switch or something electrical from the plug to the switch. If it does nothing then it´s probably that the window motor doesn't work anymore and you should cange the whole mecanism.

When i turn the air on in the front it wont work.but if i turn it on in the back it works just fine.sometimes i can kinda hear it come out the front but nothing is comming out

If you mean you can't hear the fan running in the front, but can hear it run in the back? I think thats what you're saying. There are 2 separate fans. If the front fan works on high speed only, its the blower resistor at fault, usually has a burnt resistor. If no fan speed on any settings, then the front blower motor is faulty. both are common problems. Both are assessable under the passenger side dash, behind lower panel. Find the blower motor and check for power on the purple wire and good ground on the black wire (test light if available) if good power, needs blower motor.

Driver window problem?

Does the window work about half way the stops and if you wait a few min. does the window start working again ? If so it is most likely the window mtr. Another easy ck is to turn the key on without the engine running and operate the drivers window and watch the dome light .If the dome light dims with each direction of the switch then it is most likely the window motor (do this in the garage or at night easier to see the dome light.) If the dome light dims in only one direction than most likely the window switch . The best way is to take the door panel off and disconnect the window motor and connect a test light across the wires and operate the window switch. The test light will light in both directions if the wiring and the switch are good. Then replace the motor. If the test lights in only one direction (up or down ) then you will nee to ck the switch or wiring.

Driver's side window switch doesn't work. The switch that lowers and raises the driver's side window in my 1998 Toyota Avalon has stopped working. Until last week, it worked sporadically. I think the switch...

i know on some toyotas, you do not need to remove the door panel just the handle where the switch assembly is located...if the panel around the switches is plastic then pry GENTLY up on the plastic to dislodge it from the door handle and inspect connections there...if everything checks out fine, then check fuses...perhaps this was a problem for so long that the window motor finally blew a fuse. if so replace both fuse and motor...if fuses okay, then with a long screw driver locate any screws under the door handle, bottom of the door panel, mirror panel etc, and remove...then gently pry outwards on door panel until it is released. disconnect your harness at the window motor and hook in a test light and operate the switch..if light illuminates, replace motor..if not, then replace switch or switch panel..which ever/.

Power windows click but don't work. The drivers window works fine. Replaced the control in drives door. That didn't help

I've exactly the same proble with my drivers window.
i don't think it is the motor as i can hear it trying to wind down.
sounds like the clips for your windowthat the motor attaches itself to the glass have come loose

Same exact problem.

Could be the plunger motor/ vaccum plunger under the hood. If the cruise light is on, the computer thinks it is working.

Just The Turn Signals

Ok remove the under dash plastic panel on both sides. or just lower it remove the lower part of the instrument panel in the center, the CONVIENCE CENTER is behind that panel in the center you will need a TORX screwdriver and I believe that you also need to remove the ashtray i think but please if I'm wrong forgive me
