Earl: Changing the battery should not have caused the dimmer switch to stop working. First make sure you didn't accidentally readjust the dimmer switch. The dimmer switch could be bad or the low beam filaments in the headlight may have burned out.

SOURCE: 2006 honda accord, after changing the battery.

Unless the Accord was jump started, creating possible power surge to damage radio, it should not of had any relationship to the radio.

But, just in case, would suggest disconnecting battery for 5 minutes, reconnecting battery, reentering radio code and see what happens.

If that fails, hopefully your under 36k miles or got the Factory extended warranty "Honda Care" Service plan, so take to the Honda Dealership to see what they say.

SOURCE: 2006 Honda Accord EX replace the battery now radio

Your car’s audio system will disable itself if it is disconnected from electrical power for any reason. To make it work again, you must enter a specific five-digit code in the Preset buttons. Because there are hundreds of number combinations possible from five digits, making the system work without knowing the exact code is nearly impossible.
You should have received a card with your manual(if you have one) that lists your audio system’s code number and serial number. If you don't have the card, you can get the code number from your Honda dealer, but to do this, you will need the system’s serial number, or maybe the accord's vin number.
You will see ‘‘Code’’ in the frequency display the next time you turn on the system. Use the Preset buttons to enter the five-digit code. If it is entered correctly, the radio will start playing.

This is probably the case. Hope this helps.

Try slightly turning your steering wheel while turning the key. ( Your wheel will be locked but should still be able to move a bit. Don't force the key too much or you could break it, and make things much worse. If that doesn't work your ignition may be defective.

you should check out your shift fork when they bend they tend to heat up and get stuck for a bit they should be like $80 dollars but its not the usual DIY because transmission work is tricky i would suggest taking it to a specialized mechanic.

I have a 1993 Honda Accord and the head lights won't turn on. I have changed the fuze and added new bulbs. what else can it be.

do you have low or high beams?

LOW BEAMS: When headlight switch is turned on the headlight relay is energized providing voltage through fuse 37 and 38 to the headlights and the low beams come on.

HIGH BEAMS : same thing as above thru fuses 37 & 38. When the dimmer is in high, the dimmer relay provides ground to the high beams, and the high beams come on.

1. pull your flash see if lights come on?
2. check fuse 15 if good
3. check fuses 37 & 38.

Sensor malfunction in honda accord 2006

its not the battery 60 amps is its capacity not what it puts out only capable of putting out which sensors are causing the problem according to obd 11 as when you change a battery on hondas the ecu has to re-learn all the setting and your car will run erratic and cut out till it learns the codes don,t forget the sensors don,t come into play till the engines warmed up so you need to take it for a run and keep it at a contant 50 miles an hour for a while let your foot off the gas see if it stalls do this a few times if it does stall obviously if this doesn,t cure the problem take note of the sensors that the obd has thrown up
