The door lock and catch probably need adjusting , look for signs on the latch for wear , shiny edges etc , this means the door lock isn't aligned correctly , adjust the latch and apply some grease too

Drivers door is locked. (Manual locks) Will not unlock or open with either the key or by pulling up on the lock lever inside the car.

You probably jarred the locking linkage loose, not fun getting the door panel off to repair it. You could try squirting some down between the panel towards the locking mechanism to see it will free up.

Expedition door open light stays on most of the time.

spray wd-40 in the latch on the doors then slam them a few times to loosen the switch on the latch that turns the light on with the key in the ignition and doors close if the chime rings like the key was left in the ignition then start with the drivers door

Got a lancer 2000 sedan and my door light stays on after I close the doors. i think its the drivers doo sensor because when I slam it it goes off, but when I drive along the light comes back on. can anyone...

The door ajar sensor that is causing the problem is located on the door latch mechanism inside the door. Yes they do have a sticking issue that is why you have this problem.

I have 2003 ford super duty that is an extra cab and when i close the door the dome light stays on and it says the dooor is not closed, when the door is closed all the way

spray the door latch with WD40 or, better yet, a good penetrating lubricant like PB Blaster, let it sit for a few minutes and then slam the door 15-20 times, it is a Ford thing.

My driver's door have to be slammed very hard for door to close all the way

There is a pin that the door catches on to stay closed. This pin is located inside the door jamb. It may have become loose and moved. Or your door hinges could have become loose, throwing this alignment off, as well.

Chances are that the pin became loose and moved a little farther inside, toward the car's interior. This pin needs to be loosened up, then moved back outward just slightly, then retightened. Check by closing door.
Recheck, readjust if necessary.

Hope this helps.

My light for doors open will not turn off.

hey Linda...check on door pillar....there are contact points that match up with contact points on slide door...sometimes they stick or get rusty and result is poor connection....maybe slamming knocked one of the contacts off....good luck///Lee
