It could be a number of things accually, but the first thing id check would be if the fuel or fuel pump is getting weak,In the morning when you go to start the car when you turn your key to where the gauge lites ans all that comes on leave it in that position and don't try starting it,then turn key back to off position then turn back to the position that I told you the 1st time wait about 5seconds then try starting it,if it starts up easier than your fuel is going back into tank overnite or your fuel pump is getting weak! good luck!!

My 96 maxima wil not start when i turn the switch. It will start when the engine is cold. I have replace the starter. What canit be.

You have either a faulty camshaft, or crankshaft sensor. I would recommend that you run a diagostic on the car to be certain.

I have a 1996 Nissan Maxima. The altenator and battery have been replaced less than a year ago. It still will not start with out a jump in the cold weather. .

Have an auto electrician CHECK ur HARGiNG system! Either ur battery got problem or the alternator! Alternator should have 13 to 14 volts output while running! Taah!

Its hard to start and it dye when you put it in gear

you need to have the Engine Coolant Temperature switch checked, since the computer relies solely on sensors, the ect tells the computer how cold or hot it is so the computer will make it a rich or lean mixture to start the engine,if it tells the computer that it is 75 degrees the computer will lean the mixture like starting a car in the winter without a choke.

2000 nissan maxima misfires on cold start repaced

Try spraying an aerosol oil around the intake manifold and around any vacuum lines and connections with the engine running. If you hear a change in the engine speed than you've got a vacuum leak. Thank you, Dana

95 Nissan Maxima with fuel injection issue.

Could be battery, starter or coolant sensor.

It is hard to understand / get across engine noises with words so difficult to diagnose over the net but try to push start the car and let me know if it starts ok with a push. Also, maybe try a jump start, preferably using a circuit protector if you have one.
Let me know results of the above.

2006 Maxima starts ok when cold. Really hard to

Might be an oil issue. Oil when hot might be too thick for the pump to pump the oil easily in the engine. Check that and if not that come back.
