I take it you have a leaking heater core. You can buy two hose clamp pliers and they squeeze the hose tight and no water will flow when you put them on the hoses.

If it has a AC you have to pump down the AC remove the entire heater and AC unit so you can disconect AC lines and heater hoses ,you have to drop the steering column and remove the glove box, its a big job I would buy a manual so you know what all you have to disconect.

How to disconect heater pipes going to rear heater


\look at the passenger side rear fire wall inside your engine compartment you will see a big plastic heater control valve that all the hoses front and rear heater hoses hook up to that one plastic valve find the two hoses that lead off towards the rear of the body of your suburban ten take tem off and buy a short piece of 5/8 or 3/4 hose and connect those two empty nipples together and make sure you hose clamp them together tightly so they dont leak and overheat your truck ok

most heater cores are behind the dash board on the passenger side.Look inside your engine u will see two hoses running to the firewall on the passenger side.They r going to your heater core.Sometimes you have to remove the dashboard completely it all depends on the car.

Hello i have a 1999 chevy blazer heater does not work i check the climate control i install a new one and still does not work did check water houses going to heater radiator and they do not get hot car has...


there most likely air in system. disconect the hoses that go to the core and run water threw th core and the hoses with a gardenhose reconect the hoses and run the truck .hope it works common promblem.goodluck.

Heater core how to replace the heater core


normally you have disconect the battery recover A/C gas, drain your coolant, disconnect two heater hoses connected to heater core, take off steering wheel, column, center console, take off both A-pillar trims,remove complate dashboard, disconet two line from condenser or expansion valve, take off A/C/Heater housing and dismatle the housing to access the heater core. good lock

The blower motor is not connected in any way to the heater core. A very basic set of tools should suffice.

you need to remove the glove box disconect the heater hoses look behind the glove box some heater boxes are two pieces and you can remove the heater half some you need to remove the whole piece if that is the case let a garage do it because they need to disconect the a/c so it needs to be evacuated and recharged if it is a two piece box just remove the bolts that hold the heater core under the dash and pull the box strait back good luck
