Go to any auto parts store and put on your best "helpless look, buy a quart of oil and ask the employee for help getting the oil in your car. 99.9% of them will be happy to not only do it but will also show you. Pay attention, ask questions, learn. All major parts stores such as Advance, Pep Boys, etc will do this...Walmarts etc will not.

Without seeing the engine compartment, I may assume that there is a cover that snaps over the plenum, rocker covers etc., acting as a cosmetic cover...they usually just push/snap in place....grab a corner and see if the cover pops which would allow access to the rocker cover.

On my cadillac cts 2003 the oil pressure low came on after my car kept pulling back as i drove it, than i couldnt pump the gas and had to turn the engine off. I dont know if its because i put a type of gas...

Check the oil level in the engine. If it's low then add some oil. If oil level on the dipstick is between full and low then you better have a mechanic look at it, could failed oil pump.

Oil change light won't go off after oil change. How do I reset it??

Did you make sure to put the right type of oil in the engine? If not then you should change the oil again with the correct type. Also you could disconnect the negative battery cable for 10 minutes and that will reset the codes and lights. If that doesnt work then you could hook up a code scanner and see if there are any other underlying problems. If not then just erase the code and it should turn off your oil change light. If none of this works then you need to take it to the dealer, dont waste time with these other auto repair shops, the dealer specializes in our car you know so you will get the best service there. good luck!

Changed the oil yesterday in my 2003 cts caddy and today the tranny is slipping, could oil change have anything to do with this

Engine and transmission are completely sealed off from one another. No way changing the engine oil will affect the transmission unless a brain sturgeon put engine oil into the transmission by mistake. If you did the service, you know that didn't happen.

Cts won't start after oil change

Had the same problem. 2005 Cadillac CTS with the 3.6L V6 would not start after a oil change. I started looking for wires and stuff that might have been disconnected. That is when I realized that I had also checked the air filter. The hose from the air filter box to the intake had come slightly loose from the intake. The car would not run with an air leak at the air cleaner box box hose. Put the hose on tight and problem fixed.

Have a 2003 Cadillac CTS that I first smelled a rubber burning smell come out of a/c vent while sitting at the light only. Then today went to go home and heard all familiar noises when you start a car but...

Hello, I dont know if I can help you or not but this is what was going on with my car: It had the same smell coming out after the car was warm enough. It smelled like rubber burning. I took it to the GM Goodwrench and they thought it was just a loose nut that caused an oil leak. So they fixed that but it still had that smell. We discovered it was our power steering fluid leaking onto the engine. Now maybe your smell is from leaking transmittion fluid and the car's security systems are a pain in the ****. They will lock the car from starting if it thinks you hurt the car. I dont know if this helped but I hope it did.
