Question about 2000 Chrysler 300M
I have a 2000 Chrysler 300M and It was making a whining sound when cracked up first thing in the morning took to shop and they said it was my racket pinon that needed replaced also needed my sway bar links replaced did that, they call me to tell me my car is ready but I am now having a transmission problem it wont come out of 2nd gear? I have never had a transmission problem at all, I drive 60 miles to work everyday, now I seem to have a problem since it was in the shop! The Auto stick light is no on and never has been and the transmission light is on and never has been help please

you need to get the diagnostic codes to determine why its in 2nd gear (limp-in). it can be numerous things..anything from a input or output speed sensor to a serious internal trans problem.

There will be a few minor differences between the 2000 and 2004, but for the most part, you can use the 2004 manual as a reference. Since it is illustrated, you can confirm visually when you are taking on repairs. I have owned a 2000 300m for several years. Might I recommend you visit 300mclub.org? I am a member there and have learned a ton about 300m's.
