To update maps you have to take it to the dealer and buy the map update CD. As far as re-calibrating you multi comm system, there are a few things, the easiest thing is to get into a parking lot and choose to calibrate the nav unit by pressing calibrate through the system menu and it will instruct you to drive in a circle (just mindful of objects that might be around your vehicle). If that doesn't do it then your gps anntenna might have come loose under the dash, this would require you to remove the head unit and re-attach it to the underside of your dash (very unlikely). there are a websites out there that have the downloads for firmware updates

Good luck. I hope this helps.

The car slows downs and has stopped when i turn the airconditioner on

Possible that the engine needs a full retuning of the fuel and Ignition timing with a check on the auto RPM advance when the AC is turned on.
If it possible that when the AC load comes on to the engine the IDLING speed is not changed and so it flutters to stop. The auto advance- vacuum - mut be checked.

Car rear Stop Lights will not work

the best way to check is the test light, the meter will give you false reading because the circuit will go around and find another path to return to the test point

I have a Lancer GT 2008, suddenly the AFS light on the dash board came on and a message "service required" appeared. took it to the to garages to check the problem on their diagnostic equipment and also took it to the dealer. all tried to reset the cars system, but immediately after resetting the system, the AFS light comes on again with the same message. Has anyone encounter a similar problem. Thanks
