Question about Toyota Cars & Trucks
Its a used vehicle but came in pretty neat good condition. It had about 100,000ks on the clock and ive added another 30,000 in the year ive used it. The roads to and from my house on daily commute are very poor. Rough and with potholes. Also there is a steep drain ditch that I have to daily drive over that exerts high pressure on the stabilizer as I need to negotiate that ditch which is on a bend while in an angle other wise if i approach it from the front my front lower bumper touches the ground. Just checked the Driveshaft today but the mechanic said he doesnt see anything wrong with it. What else could it be? Its like the car has no torque moving forward, but once it picks up some momentum, the next gears are all fine. Only the first is a big problem. Once the car started and i left home just fine, was working normally until i approached a patch of bumpy road..as i drove over the smaller bumps, i felt as i something detached in the transmission or driveshafts/propellers.. the car got 'heavy' and engine was revving while car slowed down, as if i put it in neutral gear. then it got to grip again after i shook the steering side to side and it 'clasped' back again! I need some good insight on this!!

sounds like the trnsmission filter may be plugged or the ports in the tranny may have clutch debris in them, either way it doesn't sound good..
