It sounds like you may have some bad valves change the oil if you have high milage try some high milage oil if that dosent work try some slick 50 if that dont do it probably suggest to have it looked at by a shop

Engine making hissing sound

Mix a bit of soap and water and spray near the sound to determine from where the sound is coming, and post more information. If it's a gas car, try not to spray much water on wires like spark plugs or coils. Post information like make and model of car. Engine size, turbo or not, diesel or gas? Not much to go on here. Could be a small vacuum leak or a busted manifold, a bad intercooler, who knows with this bit of info?

Acura tl noise

First, I would NOT switch to synthetic oil at this point. When you say "I drive it and stop it" do you mean when you're idling or after the engine is turned off? Clicking in the engine while running is always caused by excessive tolerances somewhere in the engine. I'd use (or borrow) a stethoscope to locate the area of the tick. In any case, ticking in the upper end is rarely a preluce to a catastrophic failure. I've driven numerous Honda and Acura vehicles over 250,000 miles.

When my a/c has been running for a short time the engine starts to pulse and a clicking sound is coming from the engine and the a/c ceases to work, the car is a 2000 diesel

The clicking sound is the noise from The clutch to make tne compressoor engaged and disengaged with the Pulley to turn so AC can work. There is a feeback from the refrigerant Pres and Engine temperature to engine Control Unit to disengage the clutch so your AC is not on . Have the refrigerant checked and Engine Temp sensor checked out. Good Luck.
