Question about Cars & Trucks
This is a friction detection issue. One asks when is a friction issue not a friction issue....on Pontiac's it's tied into the transmission and all motor mounts. things that give fairly false signals is a motor mount that supports the transmission. If it's "clunking" or letting parts move it just may be your bad guy. If Im totally in left field with your model/make look into different inputs into the AFS circuitry. Because obviously your not on ice and snow the entire time this indicator is on. Designed to let the operator know that the friction co-efficient is mis-matched and you may be hydroplaning and not be aware of it.
