Are you sure the motor isn't missing. Sometimes one running rough will cause a vibration.

SOURCE: Grease wheel bearings

Hi... You remove them with a 20-24mm wrench. Wash them in solvent in order to get rid of the old grease, and repack them with high quality bearing grease that you can obtain from a regular part store. Pack as much grease as possible in them, then put back. You should be good for another 50,000 miles.

Steering is vibrating when ot reaches 100kph & above. What may be the root cause? What is to fix? Thanks

The first thing to have check are the tires, the from tires since the steering is vibrating. Also take your car to have all of the tire balance, if they are out of balance it will vibrate at higher speed. Thos two are the most common issue for a vibrating steering wheel.

Why do my 2003 bmw 745i vibrate while driving

several reason that should be checked.. Check for balance Check the condition of the tyres . check for sidewall bulges and belt separation. check the discs are not warped. check that the steering joints are not worn. Check cv joints ("u") joints in the drive shafts .Run the fault codes and check for engine misfire on a cylinder.. Check the wheel alignment. Check all pulley bearings and unit bearings on the motor that are belt driven. Check harmonic balancer if fitted.

My 2005 crv honda vibrates at 40klm and through to 70klm tyres have been changed around at the honda dealers but still vibrating

When you had the tyres swopped round, did they check the balance of each wheel and if all wheels ran true (not bent or buckled), or any deform in a tyre. Generally if you can drive through a vibration it is due to a wheel being out of balance. Other cause of vibration, is wheel alignment being out, (constant, and gets worse as you speed up). Drive shaft out of true (balance or bent)

I have a Citroen xsara piccaso 1.6hdi and have a vibration on the n/s front any ideas

jack the front up and spin the wheel ,lay you pound to a penny the front tyre is deformed ,i blame the garage that checked the tracking and balancing for not checking the tyre first ,but as they only pay peanuts then no doubt it was only a semi skilled grease monkey you got to it for you ,change the wheels front for the rear and then it will be ok

Im sure you have a harmonic balancer. Its the pulley on the crank. If you look at it closely you'll see the thin layer of rubber. If the engine vibrates throughout its normal rpm range when idling or driving it could be a vacuum leak, and it is possible to have two plug wires reversed and have the engine run. Where the timing gears lined up, exactly? Maybe you just built a monster engine!

2004 GMC Safari Motor Vibrates

exhaust resonance is unlikely
vibration is caused by something spinning that is out of balance
it can also be from a misfire or a mechanical problem
considering the mechanical problems
harmonic balancer - replaced delete reference unless loose bolt
loose clutch pressure plate --no information as to auto or manual--possible
cracked flex plate--no information as to auto or manual ---possible
failing cam shaft lobes --cam nobes wearing off causing valve timing problems --very possible
faulty hydraulic lifters --pumping up and holding a valve off the seat -possible
hydraulic follower failure --excessive valve clearance altering valve timing --very possible
ignition timing too far advanced -- tune up should have checked that but is a possibility
failed water pump bearings --noisy but a possibility
viscous fan hub ( if not electric fans )-- a distinct possibility--bearing failure and fan running off center-off balance
injectors --- any injector squirting but not the same amount as the others will cause a harmonic unbalance --possible
except for the cam shaft as mentioned , the engine has done 30.000 miles so any fault in the rebuild would be shown up before that mileage was done
drive line problems ---unlikely as you state it vibrates when stationary and that confines it back to the engine and transmission
only parts spinning are the engine parts and the input shafts , torque converter or clutch

Severe vibration from engine

If it makes the mirror blur without driving the wheels, then I would say main bearing issues.

Around 30mph a vibration comes from the right rear of the car. whats the likelyness that its a wheel bearing?

most likely to be tyre/wheel damage (from kerbing etc), wheel balancing, wheel bearing or suspension bushes worn. pretty much in that order.
