Take back to the shop

Opinions won't diagnose the vehicle problems

Drive it as is-- you'll be spending the four grand
a second time, when you ruin that transaxle

Dodge caravan will not shift into overdive.

Under the hood there's a fuse/relay center. Take the cover off and look at all the fuses. I recently had a similar experience with a 98 and the EATC fuse was blown. When replaced the vehicle worked just fine.

2001 Saturn sc1 Tranny leaking - replaced torque conveter seal, as well as both cv axel seals... still leaking? help

I would pressure wash trany down, make sure it is clean. Drive car at highway speed. Now inspect trany and see if you find the leak, one thing you did not say you changed was trany pan gasket, also look at trany cooler lines.

Hi. Thanks for looking at this for me. I have a 2004 Yukon and the transition from first to second gear has been slipping - engine revs and it takes a second for the shift to occur. My local transmission...

2005 ford taurus ----transmission flush or drop pan? which is best?

It makes no sense to me to just drop the pan.. That only exchanges around half the fluid..

I allways do a complete exchange - to include the tourque converter.. Allot of fluid hiding in there too..

Makes allot more sense to me..
It cost more but its worth it.. I get it done at a trusted quick lube place.. I pay about $120.00 & I watch them closely...

A trani can prety much last forever if maintained very well..

Allot of people dont know that - dirty & old fliud is what causes leaks & damage..

I do it every 50-k miles.. My trani has 150-k miles on it and runs like the day it was new - AND nice and clean with no leaks ;o)
Knock on wood lol..

Hope this helps !!
Please rate me good ;o)

Where is the oil pan on a 99 rodeo? i went to change the oil and im not sure but it really looked like transmission fluid when i dropped it

If the fluid was redish - you probably drained the trani fluid.. Trani fluid has to be checked while the engine is running & is messured in pints (not quarts) on the dipstick..
The oil pan is locaed close to center bottom of the engine.. The trani pan is either to one side of the oil pan or behind it tward the back & is flatter looking in shape - than the oil pan..

Tranmission

try changes the filter for the trany and put new trany oil in there! Look at the fluid when it comes out ans see if you see metal or if the old fluid looks like it has metal shavings in it!! You might have burnt the bands up in the trany

Problem solved!!

I had a tuner go over the wiring. He found a loose ground wire and grounded it properly. The transmission has been shifting correctly ever since!!! It felt like a mechanical problem, and acted like a mechanical problem, but it was just a loose ground wire.

Let this be a heads up on VW transmissions!

Thankfully it was only a loose ground wire and not a $5,000 trany!!
