So you need a transmission shop to diagnose the problem?

If you keep driving it, you will ruin the transmission,if you
haven't already

If your adding fluid, you know you have a leak, vehicles use
no fluids. Run it low & again ruin the trans

What causes svs occasionally appear on dash on vzss holden commodore ls1 5.7 [aus] ?

If you mean its the "service" indicator its possible the exhaust sensor is telling the engine it is running incorrectly, fuel mixture wise. This is usually carried out by a Lambda unit in the headers. It may be rectified by an engine service but get someone to plug in a fault reader to get a better idea.

Holden suburban column auto...car won't go into reverse and takes a while to change to 2nd gear...is it major

It might be.
You should first change the gearbox oil and replace the gearbox oil filter, then retry.
If you are still having an issue, then check the vehicle's speed sensor and TCM.

Holden Commodore VP, leak in one year old radiator,

Hi there i probably wouldnt use thread tape as those lines you have described are the transmission cooler lines and you dont want theread tape in your trans. remove the radiator make sure the fitting are dry and clean and use sikaflex around fittings and let it dry for 24 hours. this should fix yuor problem. I cant beleive they dont list holden. regards Ben

1990 Toyota Camry transmission won't go into any gear

you didn't make clear you have a automatic trasmission or manual?
if is a manual trasmission you have to look the clutch and to valves that is puting the trasmision oil pressure to move the clutch one at the end near the gear box and the second after the clutch pedal outside of the cabin imediatley after the pedal. you have to look to the oil level in the rezervoir, if you dont have the problem to bay some oil and to change completely the oil first maybe the right solution to begin with oil change first , may be is freeze from the dirties finded in the oil pipes and valves.
if you have the automatic trasmission sorry i dont know, because the problems there are more complex.
