Look the part up on one of the auto part sites

Napa
Rock Auto
Amazon
Motorcraft & put in you Vin # then you got the correct
part & can buy on amazon or rock auto

OBD Codes don't mean a part is bad & needs to be replaced

ALL Parts have to be tested to find a problem

P0441 what dose it mean and how can I fix it .toyota camery le 1998model

P0441 1998 Toyota Camry - Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow

When is the code detected? Pressure in charcoal canister and fuel tank does not drop during purge control (2 trip detection logic).

Possible symptoms: - Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Possible a noticeable fuel odor caused by the release of fuel vapors

P0441 1998 Toyota Camry Description: The Engine Control Module (ECM) tests the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) system for the following conditions:
- Large and small leaks

- Excess vacuum

- Purge flow during non-commanded conditions

- Fuel Level and Fuel Pressure sensor faults

- EVAP Purge and Vent Valve faults

The ECM monitors the Fuel Tank Pressure sensor in order to determine the level of vacuum/pressure in the EVAP system. The ECM commands both the EVAP Purge Solenoid and the EVAP Vent Valve ON when the conditions are met in order to apply an engine vacuum to the EVAP system. The ECM commands the EVAP Purge Solenoid OFF once the system has reached a predetermined level of vacuum. This test verifies if a vacuum can be achieved in the EVAP system. Failure to develop a vacuum may be caused by a large leak or a restriction.

Code po446

That code means incorrect purge flow. so you have some problem in the evap system. either the purge valve is stuck open or closed, you have a restriction in the evap line or an electrical prob with the purge valve. ex. the valve dose not have power or a bad ground.

Engine p0446 . i replaced purge valve but light still coming on

There may be also a flow sensor in line with that valve, also check for split rubber hoses.
On mine, a dose of intake cleaner in the valve and sensor and a replaced split hose turned off the light.

How do i fix code p1143 on 97 mustang

We are assumin gthat you are talking about DTC P1443 - Evaporative Emission Control System - Vacuum System - Purge Control Solenoid or Purge Control Valve fault.

Best guess without pinpoint testing would be the purge flow sensor. This is the most common failure for this code but can be caused by anything that would limit flow across the sensor when flow is commanded by the PCM restricted cannister, stuck or plugged cannister vent solenoid,etc....

On the base model it is located in the purge line between the carbon cannister and the purge solenoid. See pic below for base model diagram(click HERE for zoom)...

P1443 code How do I fix this code problem on my 97 Ford ranger?

P1443 is the Evaporative Emission Control System Control Valve. Any time you get this code always check your gas cap. If it is not installed all the way, or leaks, it can cause the evap emission code to come up. If the cap is okay...

The problem is probably caused by the Canister Purge Assembly. This assembly connects the intake manifold to the charcoal canister and the assembly is made up of hoses, a valve and a sensor. On the 1997 Ranger, it is located near the front of the engine compartment on the driver's side (the canister is right behind the driver's side headlight). Apparently, if there are any cracks in the hoses, or if the valve or the sensor wears out, this will cause the check engine light to come on, and return the P1443 code.

Part numbers for the canister purge solenoid/flow sensor assemblies:

F57Z-9C987-AB Canister Purge Solenoid/Flow Sensor
Assembly - 2.3L F57Z-9C987-CA Canister Purge Solenoid/Flow Sensor
Assembly - 3.0L F57Z-9C87-BA Canister Purge Solenoid/Flow Sensor
Assembly - 4.0L

Part cost = $65 to $100 depending on engine size - good luck :O)

I have not had any problems yet but the engine light is on and it came up with the code p0496 what could it be

the p0496 means that the evap system flow during non-purge first check ur gas cap this can cause the check engine code if cap is good and on tight than the usual culprit is either evap purge solenoid and or canister vent solenoid sticking not expensive to replace by self in driveway but before u do check with a dealer in area and advise about code to see if covered should be since its an 08 evap should be covered [dont know mileage and or condition of truck which makes a difference on warranty ]

98 toyota camry with eng. code po466 help

P0466 EVAP Purge Flow Sensor Circuit Range/Performance

Purge flow sensor is usually in the same line as the canister vent sol. the cv sol. lets the fuel vapors that have build up in the charcoal canister, run up to the engine to get re burned - the purge flow senses the fuel vapor flow and i think, lets the ecm/pcm know how much flow is detected. Most likely the purge flow sensor is shot. if it was a one time fault, after clearing the code, you may have to drive 100-200 miles to reset the complete the drive cycle.
