Its either the gear box or the engine. If engine has no enough power for take off, the gear box won't change because an auto gearbox uses the engine speed to think of the next gear.

Transmission will not engae any gear

re/check your oil level as it possibly lower then you thought ,as an auto gearbox needs the level to be full, dont rev the gearbox trying to get it to move this will damage the bands inside the gear box,

Prob's with my Audi A6 2003 Auto 3.0 V6 (gearbox)

Doubt it as the fault suggests you need to look into the range sensor. If similar to Renault there is a switch on the gearbox that senses where the select lever is (at the gearbox end). If the display is wrong then the sensor needs looking at and either it will need to be adjusted into a set position by moving it, or perhaps the connector to it or wiring to/from it have a fault.

Can't move shift gear from park to any position? why is it so?

Could be 3 things

1 low gearbox fluid or the system needs to be bled through.

2 the slave cylider for the auto gears has gone wrong and may need replacing although the year of the car this would be unusual.

3 the torque converter in the gearbox might have gone, all 3 of these would cause this issue.

Go for the cheaper ones first check the fluid, and ensure there is no air in the system.

Hope this helps. auto box's are a funny thing and it would have to be one of these 3 things unless the gearbox has gone, but again thats not very likely on a 2009 car.

Regards

Lost drive in auto gearbox v6 24 valve engine model speedo not moving when you acelerate in drive suspect torque converter

Does it move but the speedo doesnt work properly or at all? Unusual or no gear changes? Suspect the Vehicles Speed Sensor (VSS) on the gearbox.

If it doesnt move in any gear check the autobox fluid level, failing that get it checked for copdes, could be a few things
