SOURCE: oil around spark plug and car mis fires
The oil around the plug may be a sign that the valve-cover needs a new gasket. Oil on the plugs can cause a misfire but it is important that you check everything over. The misfire could be due to defective wires, boots, coils, spark-plug/s, injector/s, and so much more. Take a look at the cars maintenance history, Maybe it is over due for a complete tune-up or oil change. The car is 11years old, how many miles are on it? How was it running before this?

this could simply mean that too much oil has been added and overflowed on to the engine.if the vehicule runs well and is not noisy i would not worry about it. the spark plugs should be inspected to make sure they are seating properly.always start the threading of the plug to the head by hand.

This is likely your spark plug tube seals. They come with valve cover gaskets because you will need to replace both in a job. You should also probably replace the spark plugs themselves, as the ends are probably fouled.
If you are interested in doing this job yourself, I would suggest going down to your auto parts store of choice and purchasing a repair manual for your car. Haynes is the book of choice, typically. It will show you pictures of the valve cover being removed.
