If the truck started when on the rack and suddenly does not after lowering it; check the connector where the new pump was plugged in. It may have come loose as the vehicle was lowered. Make sure the connector clicks or locks together when assembling it.

SOURCE: gmc savana van will stop running while driving or start sputterin

It could be a clogged fuel filter or a bad fuel pump. Also try replacing the spark plugs and spark plug wires and having the timing checked. Good luck.

The only thing left in this system is the fuel pressure regulator. You need to check pressure before the regulator and after the regulator if there is the problem then you need to replace it. I hope this helps. Don't forget to rate my answer.

SOURCE: need to replace fuel pump on 2000 Gmc savana how

If the pump is in the gas tank, which most new vehicles are, you'll have
to drop the gas tank, to remove the pump and sender. Make sure you
do this with as little fuel in it as possible, seeing that fuel is like 8-10 lbs.
per gallon. Good luck.

Hi 2004 gmc savana 3500 6.0 new fuel pompe wont start help plaise.

All "crank, no start" conditions are approached in the same way. Every engine requires certain functions to be able to run. Some of these functions rely on specific components to work and some components are part of more than one function so it is important to see the whole picture to be able to conclude anything about what may have failed. Also, these functions can ONLY be tested during the failure. Any other time and they will simply test good because the problem isn't present at the moment.
If you approach this in any other way, you are merely guessing and that only serves to replace unnecessary parts and wastes money.

Every engine requires spark, fuel and compression to run. That's what we have to look for.

These are the basics that need to be tested and will give us the info required to isolate a cause.

1) Test for spark at the plug end of the wire using a spark tester. If none found, check for power supply on the + terminal of the coil with the key on.

2) Test for injector pulse using a small bulb called a noid light. If none found, check for power supply at one side of the injector with the key on.

3) Use a fuel pressure gauge to test for correct fuel pressure, also noticing if the pressure holds when key is shut off.

4) If all of these things check good, then you would need to do a complete compression test.

Once you have determined which of these functions has dropped out,
you will know which system is having the problem.

Trying to locate fuel filter on a 2004 savana rear wheel drive

if you dont find it between the tank and the engine, its inside the fuel tank, should be like under where the driver sits on the frame (IF it has one)

I'd bet you dollars against donuts that when the new MC was installed it was left with air in the lines. Bleed the brake lines to get that air out of there, and I suspect your brakes will firm up nicely.
