I have a Terex 760b, I've burned up 2 starters in 8 days. Bad wiring? Flywheel? I'm clueless, any advice will be appreciated.

If the starters are making noise when powered up I would check to see they have the correct shims installed. If to tight it can burn they out. How about your solenoid? Is it working properly? Check these things and if this doesn't help post more info as to any noise,etc.Viking.

Its hard putting into reverse

Normally when the transmission is hard to get into a gear ,it means the clutch isn't fully releasing making it hard to put the transmission in gear. More information is needed. If this vehicle has a hydraulic master cylinder for the clutch then the reservoir needs to be checked that the fluid is in the full range, If it is then there could be air in the system and the hydraulic system will have to be bled to remove the air. If the vehicle has a cable then the free travel needs to checked. If there is too much free travel then the cable will need to be adjusted to remove the free travel.

Have 12 terex -4 , battery is 12.67 will not start the machine

remove the starter and have it bench tested. Starter motors are subject to dust and the armature shaft bushes get dry and wear out. This allows the armature to pole out and the starter indicates as a bad /flat battery

How to remove transmission in 2002 silverado 2500 hd

I can most likely make you up a PDF with pictures and instructions but there were 3 different engines and a couple of different transmissions plus the fact if it was automotic or a manual trans mission as well. Will need that information and If you know the type of transmission including a model that will help as far as being sure you have the correct information. Feel free to email me at with that info and I will be happy to help. No there is no fee or cost.....don't mind helping out. Gota tell you though, this isn't the easiest of jobs...

Transmission problems

Hello wad.... the best place to go when your transmission is acting up is to an AAMCO repair shop... They offer a free scan of your car's computer and a free estimate you can make an informed decision about having them do the work. Most people do not have the tools or the knowhow to work on the transmission themselves.

The one thing you could do first is to check the transmission fluid. If it is anything less than full add transmission fluid.

TEREX 860 temperature gauge not working engine warm gauge in cool area. Cab heater warm not very hot what is the proplem

if the engine is not reaching operating temp, then the heater is never going to blow warm air. I would start with checking temp of engine, if its not warm enough (180f) I would replace the thermostat
