Question about 2001 Isuzu Trooper
I've checked fuses and the illumination dimmer. Pounding on the dash doesn't help. Not sure where to go from here. Oh, the former owner installed a stereo (the lights for that work). Since the lights sometimes work, I don't think that would be the problem.
Often this kind of problem is caused by s faulty ground connection.
If it uses the common type of 'Christmas Tree' connector, it will have one center screw surrounded by a 'daisy' with petals bent up at an angle and plugs attached to some or all of the 'petals.'
Try tightening the center screw and pull/push back on each connector.
