Have not tried anything yet other then trying to pinpoint where the squeaking noise is coming from. Noise seems to be coming from the left front at the wheel. Sounds like a bushing but I could be wrong.

If it is a bearing, you may be able to actually smell the wheel area after driving to smell a burning odar. I have a 97 and know that the suspension up front (if it is FWD and has a transaxle) takes a lot of wear and tear and I would recommend maybe checking your Tie Rods and u-joints. May sound funny but if the engine sits in front, your power is from the front, check what supports thats power. Thats just my thought. Best of luck!

Hey Gerri,
If you have a spare 97' Lincoln Contential manual, I am definitely interestest. My wifes car is not doing well. The battery has power because all the the lights work and one time try to crank over, like 1 hour ago. Now no crank over but the lightsworks and things stay on

Have your battery tested, just because your lights work doesn't mean you have enough power to crank it over. Also test your altenator for charging problems!

    Clean your battery connections!

I have a 98 Lincoln Continental . I posted a question on the squeaking / rubbing noise coming from the left front wheel when the wheel is turning slowly. It makes this noise also when the car is in pa

if the noise is still there when the vehicle is stationary ( in park) then the problem is not in the suspension ,steering or wheels. I would be looking at the crank shaft pulley, idler bearings, water pump,ac bearings and belts as these items are still in motion.

Squeaking noise coming from front end of 93

check the front brakes as the warning tab can make a squeaking noise when the brakes may need to be replaced. also if this is a 4x4 it could be a u joint that is making a noise. sometimes a dry tire bead sounds like a squeak or hub cap. just some things to check out.

When i press on the clutch while driving my car makes a squeaking noise by the right front tire what is the problem

If the noise is connected to the clutch being applied it needs to have the throwout bearing serviced and or replaced.

Struts were replaced but there is still squeaking in front

possible sway bar links, strut bearing plates (they sit on top of the strut), ball joints, tie rod ends. If the you can make it squeek by pushing up and down on the front, have someone do this while trying to narrow where the noise is coming from.
