Question about Cars & Trucks

1 Answer

How often and quick do the questions get answered here? what kinds of questions are ok for asking here? and does everyone seem to find the helpful? I am trying to find answers for the bossman here at a garage in Giles County and could use a little help from time to time. I hope to find this site useful. Thanks Men, Cristin from Narrows, Va.

Ask a more specific question about what you want help with. The site is self explanatory. Statistics are irrelevant. Obviously, if you don't ask a specific or pertinent question, the wait time is forever.

How to change air filter on this engine?

You only need to ask the question once. BUT, if you want it answered quickly and accurately, ask it properly. What engine, what car/truck, what year/ what engine size? They all matter. We want to help you, but you must ask the question such that it can be answered.

I just buy a honda odyssey 2008 but the baterry run out when i replace new one and the ask me enter code ! But i buy used car and i dont the code what can i do ! Please help me fix thank you

If everyone here posted the questions 3 or more times, the chance one would be answered would be very slim. Please post a question only once, add enough details and wait. If you want a quick answer, you can get hundreds within one second on Google. You only have to search for the right one. We are volunteers trying to hall as much people as we can. Be polite and us a name.

Turn signals, flasher and rear windshield wipers all quit at the same time. Checked each individual fuse and they were ok.

It is not possible to answer your question because you did not mention what kind of vehicle you are asking about. Try posting your question again and include YEAR, MAKE, MODEL, and ENGINE SIZE. This information is needed to look up wiring diagrams so someone can tell you where the most likely location for your electrical fault is.

Why do you say this is a free service then ask for payment

As paid experts we are required to answer 150 free questions a month,I think everyone is able to ask some amount of questions for free.Although I dont think you can live chat or phone chat for free.So do you have a question you would like to ask? This is a free message and my answer will be also.

Hey, you seem very knowledgeable.

Thank you for your request. It is funny you should ask that. I stumbled on to Fixya about a month ago while looking for an answer for a problem and while looking at someone's question I thought "Heck! I know what's wrong with this person's problem" and so on an impulse, I signed up and answered his question (right at this point, I can't remember if I helped that first person or not! must be getting old!). If you are really looking to make money off the site, sign on alot and always list yourself as avaible and answer the questions that will make you money, but be aware that those questions get droves of answers so you have to be quick on the draw. I must admit I must be touched in the head because I like answering questions that relate to the computer field because I work in it for 8+ hours a day. I figure if you can answer a question without being at or around the equipment it will help your mental process when you do have that happen at work. Or lets put it this way, it helps me in my daily work and helps keep it fresh in my mind, your milage may vary. I also try and answer questions that I know I can explain and I try to remember what it was like to know nothing about the questions I'm answering and fashion my answer to help the people who truly don't know, care or understand why the answer works but to give them the information they need to either fix their problem or make an informed decision about how to proceed to fix their problem, The site is pretty straight forward for the most part and isn't hard to learn but remember that is coming from a person who has had a computer since 1984 and hasn't been without a computer since I purchased my first computer. I hope that answers your questions and If I can help again, please ask. It might take me a day or two to answer (sometimes life gets a bit crazy!) but I will answer when I get the chance to.

Once again, thank you for asking, I hope that helps!
