SOURCE: where is the speedometer cable

Your Jeep doe not have a speedometer cable. The speed is calculated by the PCM ( vehicle computer) by input values that are received from the vehicle speed sensor. This issue is most likely not repairable by the average person without the proper scan tool required to do so.

No. The only time the check engine light will come on is when the computer sees a fault with a sensor, a problem with a component it controls, or a problem with a system that it monitors. Your best bet is to have the computer scanned to see what codes are present. Once you know that post them here and i'll be happy to help you further.

What are the specifications for a head torque 2007 Jeep Commander 3.1 litre?

I found this for 3.7L head bolts. Follow the proper sequence, Start tightening from the middle and go outward. The four smaller bolts use sealer, if you don't they may leak. Also, use a straight edge along top bolt threads, all threads should be touching the straight edge, if not, get a new bolt.25291199-jonzdkumqhxyubc13hxpbiak-3-0.jpg

Need torque specs for transmission pan bolts

if you know the real name of the tranny you could just google that
i went jeep.com then parts dept and its a
W5A580
there are 2 answers.
the mech says, snug them up.
the FSM gives real torques. guess which dont strip out aluminum.

best is an inch /pound Torque wrech, and most are set to 70 inch/lbs.
divide that by 12 for foot. (shop math 101)
first Google hit does it.

What are the torque specs on the bolts for the transmission pan on a 2010 Jeep commander with a 3.7 Eng.

my guess is 7ft/lbs.
be nice to know actual trans used ,no?
they have model numbers and sub types.
my guess is the 45RFE, not the NAG1.
may books state, snug em/ up , and dont distort the gasket
but the real book shows
105 in. lbs or 11.8 N•m (that is inch lbs not FEET)

105 divided by 12 is = 8.75 ft./lbs
my 7 was good guess, no?
