ECM is the electronic control module commonly known as (the computer of your car) this is where all the processing of various signals received from the engine sensors takes place the operation of the engine such as fuel trim exhaust gas re circulation manifold pressure and so on is controlled by this module.
In terms of the high revs at idle , check all your rubber tubing entering the intake manifold for cracks , it sounds like one of the houses came undone, have a look at the intake manifold gasket, check the retaining bolts . A diagnostic checkup might reveal the cause of your problem.

How to fix high aidla speed on Daewoo nubira 1998?

High idle speed on any fuel injected car engine ussually means an intake air leak or faulty idle speed motor, but maybe faulty coolant temp switch, check if coolant level in radiator is to top of neck ONLY OPEN RADITOR WHEN ENGINE IS COLD, this is for personal safety. Get a trigger spray bottle of water and spray around all parts of the inlet manifold if leak evident rgine should run slightly rough. other poss prob could be brake booster faulty or booster one way faulty or hose split. Good luck.

Need manufactures specs for nubira map sensor

A low voltage (high vacuum) output of 1 to 2V is present at idle. A high voltage (low vacuum)

output of 4.0 to 4.8V is present at wide open throttle. The MAP sensor is also used under certain conditions to measure barometric attitude changes. The ECM uses the MAP sensor for the delivery and ignition timing changes.
