Question about 2008 Pontiac Torrent

1 Answer

I have a 2008 Pontiac Torrent. The keyless entry works but you have to be really close to the vehicle. I have already replaced the battery in the remote.

I will suggest you replace the remote before it goes dead. Easier to do when you have the original. Read the owners manual for procedures. Otherwise it is a shop(you have to pay) deal.

Pay the money and get it fixed properly.
Expect that and more,to happen on all of todays high tech vehicles,at least once a year or more. Get used to it. Stay in the service bay and get an education, while they repair your issues.

C 6 corvette coupe 2008 has keyless entry system, how do you gain entry to vehicle when all doors windows etc are closed and car battery, which operates entry system is flat withoutn any charge?

I would call a lock smith and have him gain entry into your vehicle, then you can pop the hood and place a charge on the battery.....hope this helps.

Seems like the battery is dead in cold weather.

It's possible that the battery is shot even though it's a newer car. I have a 2006 Ford Taurus I had to replace the battery in 2007. You just never know with batteries. Do you have 5W30 oil in the car?
