WHY DOES MY ISUZU 4HL1 ENGINE HAVE A HARD START ALWAYS?


no car stated, huge NPR truck no less.
no year stated
so no free book information on that engine,.
big diesel. 4HL1, no dash letter?
compression at spec.?
glow plugs work.,
filters clean. water in fuel,
does test fuel (spray'd) help? ???
injection problems

What are the head torque settings of the 4jk1 engine in the Isuzu kb250dteq?


welcome to the USA forum (calif) so....
what car. ? KB250 sounds Australian? is it? we cant guess country
South Africa?
4JK1-TCX (this engine?) (google searches do little there , zero)

A pickup truck.with 2.5L diesel. with direct injection?
and our books (this is USA forum) dont cover AUZ cars.
what year.? 2007 to now? (but what?)

so we cant help you , lacking those facts.
we cant look it for you.
why not stated, country. first. then full engine name. all letters.

what if?
and what if they changed to TTY bolts, in say 2008,..
so what is TTY, its torque to yield. (use one time)
or the changed from KG torque, to degree's from hand tight. methods, and he pattern , do you need the pattern to torque, sure.

Needed torqur spec on rocker arms on 1994 gmc 5.7liter


There is no torque spec for rockers. You tighten until there is no backlash, then preload another 1/4 to 1/2 turn. With #1 at TDC on the compression stroke, you adjust #1 by this procedure. You can also adjust intake valves on #'s 2, 5 & 7 as well as exhaust on 3's 1, 3, 4 & 8. Then rotate the engine until #6 is TDC on compression stroke and adjust intakes on #'s 3. 4. 6 & 8 and exhaust on #'s 2, 5, 6 & 7. Good luck.

The relation between torque, power and angular speed is

Power falls off below a peak located at high engine speed, because less fuel/air (energy source) is brought in and burned per second. If that were the only factor, then power output would be proportional to angular speed

and torque would remain constant down to idle. In fact passenger car engines have a fairly broad and flat torque curve.However engine efficiency drops with at low speeds since combustion chamber shape, bore/stroke ratio, manifold runner shape and length, valve lift and intake/exhaust valve overlap, to name just a few factors, are tuned for best performance at higher engine speeds. Thus torque eventually falls. In racing cars, the tuning is "peakier," that is, they produce far more peak power but only over a narrow RPM range.     Hey graham, there are 4 engine possibilities in the 94 E350, I'm going to guess it's the 5.8, as that is the most common option, if it's the 7.5 gas, or 4.9, let me know, as torque is different.
