All you can do, is start replacing parts..Battery, key fob, receiver...I have a tool that checks all fobs and only factory installs. Cost to much and doesn't do aftermarket installs. A waste of money and lieing salesman. Factory installs, I delete. Aftermarket , I tear them out.

Trouble shoot heater fan on a 1996 Plymouth Voyager Van

Check for 12 volt power to resistor under dash on passenger side. Follow wires from under glove box (from blower motor) to resistor, which will be where wires are connected on duct work. You should be able to test for 12 volt DC power there.

Pontiac vibe ignition switch? Intermittent dash

Basic electrical problem . loose connection on a ground circuit ,high resistance . There are no magical fixes for automotive electrical gremlins . Finding electrical wiring diagrams an voltage drop testing the electrical circuits is the only way to find the problem .
When the ignition switch is placed in the Start position 12 volts is supplied through the Park/Neutral Position Switch or Clutch Pedal Position switch to the switch and coil side of the Starter Cut Relay. If theft is not active the Theft Deterrent Module grounds the control side of the Starter Cut Relay closing its switch. Power then travels to the coils side of the ST Relay with ground at G200 closing the ST Relay. Power then flows from the Main fuse in the Fuse Block - Underhood through the switch side of the ST Relay and then to the S terminal of the Starter Solenoid. Ground is found through the engine block.

1997 Dodge caravan. Dome lights(2) and tailgate courtesy lights(2) do not turn on. with either 1.opening the tailgate; 2. opening any other door ; 3. using the in dash switch. Trouble shooting: 1 Checked...

Not sure about your car but on my KIA the dome and rear gate light have switches on the light assemblies themselves for on/off all time/on with door. Check to see if you have same. Also, there may be another "dash" switch, typically on the dash dimmer switch which may be turned all the way from dim to off. Check your dash dimmer switch. Relays are typically in a fuse box under the hood.

I have a 2006 mazda 6 the running lights are not working

have you checked the fuses? Probably under the hood and on the driver side of the dash with door open. check the fuse that says parking lights first if that doesn't fix the problem then you will have to start trouble shooting the wire harness starting at the switch is there power before and after the switch. hope this helps

Lights or fuse for my speed odemeter guage and heater/air conditioning system

These lights for the dash are controlled by a rheostat instrument control dimmer switch next to the main light switch for the headlights, it is either turned off (have seen this dozens of times) or it is defective. Below is a picture of the switch assembly I speak of. The thumb wheel next to the knob is the dimmer control.

Has anyone had a problem with the brake lights not working on a 2005 gr cherokee lorado. Just starting to trouble shoot the problem

Yes. Check the brake light switch on the brake pedal. Follow the brake pedal up under the dash to where it connects. There will be a switch up there. This switch sometimes just gets stuck. But if that is the case, I would still replace it. Because it will stick again.
If this helps you please rate by checking the 4 thumbs up! Thanks for using Fixya.com

Windows won't operate. Buzzing sound comes from under dash when either switch is depressed. Need trouble shooting help?

There should be a window relay near your fuse box under your dash. See if there's another relay you can pull and swap to test. Chances are the relay went bad considering you're hearing a buzz from under the dash.
