SOURCE: 2003 Dodge Caravan Battery?

Sounds like time for new battery, give it a full charge & have it tested, but have alternator checked as well, even though it appears alternator is o.k. because it runs, but just in case it's an intermittent problem with alternator

SOURCE: 98 dodge grand caravan will not start

This is very similar to a problem my sister had with her 1998 Caravan. She found that you need to remove the instrument pod and resolder the connector on the circuit board. Due to cracks, the thing will sometimes not have a good connection, causing the trouble. Mine just developed this problem too, so remedying it myself.
Go to this link for more info and a helpful disassembly PDF.
If it doesn't work, search for 1998_chrysler_pod_repair and you should find the PDF. I hope this helps! It's really much easier to take apart than you'd think.

2003 dodge caravan will not start. Makes a clicking noise, and dash shuts off, then makes a humming sound.

im going to say an almost dead battery .the hum you hear might be the fuel never heard it before because the van normaly starts .so boost your van if it starts you may have to replace the altenator the guages, no worries many cars do that .thats a code needing erased and if you disconnect the battery that may go away.

stick the key into the drivers door lock and lock the van- then unlock it with the key- this should shut it off-if you have a key fob try locking and unlocking with it this should also shut it off-cheers Denny

Sounds like it might be the starter. Places like Auto Zone and Advance Auto Parts test those for free. I would start there (no pun intended). If that's not it it could be something in the ignition itself, but it sounds like it's the starter.

sounds like a fuel issue i would recommend replacing the fuel filter it is a cheap and easy fix after that if the problem persists then i would take it to a shop to get a free diagnosis in order to find out if it is your fuel injectors or your fuel pump. more symptoms of a bad fuel system would be extreme drop in rpm when put into drive, choking or sputtering, large amounts of smoke from the exhaust pipe, or complete shut down of motor after running.if you need any instruction on removal and installation of any part please comment back on this post thank you, and good luck.

IMy problem is when Iuse my remote command start

There are fail safe's with remote starters here is the list of things to check

Hood Switch: Designed so the car wont start with the remote if your hood is opened. (If this goes bad your remote start will think the hood is open and wont start your car!)

Break Switch: It will shut the car off if someone pushes on the break without a key in the ignition so no one just drives off with your car.(if this is bad it could be reading that your brake peddle is being pushed without a key in the ignition)

And Finally The Time Out.: This is designed so if you start your car and forget about it, you dont use all your gas or let the car run all day, typically they shut off after 20 minutes.(Your timer is programed into the main control box, If your timer goes bad it can cause the whole remote system to fault.

Anyway hope this helps. Check your switches before you presume that the unit is shot!
