It may be screwed up to the clutch with with hex bolts which means you will need the correct socket, as they lock-tight the thread.

You must never have opened the hood &
even looked or ever worked on a vehicle

Appears all the motor options have 4 studs & 4 nuts
holding the fan clutch assy on & 4 bolts holding the
fan blade to the clutch

98 tacoma radiator replacement

Not a difficult process. start by draining your radiator from the drain plug on the bottom, passenger side of the radiator. Disconnect upper and lower hoses and drain as well.

You will need to remove the fan shroud. The trick is to remove the 4 bolts holding the clutched fan and remove the shrowed WITH the fan at the same time. This will save you from playing with the belts. From there, there is only a handfull of bolts and they are all easily accessible.

Need fan clutch replaced

You can take off the 4 bolts that hold the fan on the water pump pulley carefully and you won't need to take off the pulley. You may be able to do that without removing the fan shroud, but it will add a difficulty factor if you don't. Take out the fan clutch with the fan blade still bolted on. Separate the fan blade from the clutch and install the fan blade on the new clutch unit and re install it on the engine .

My clutch went out on ac in my 1998 toyota tacoma 6cyl. I was told i need to repace verything. If so what parts do i need?

First check the slave cylinder for the clutch, this could be the only issue, if your hydrailics fail your clutch won't work

If you do indeed need to replace the clutch replace everything Clutch disk, Pressure plate, Throw out bearing, and Fly wheel This is not a job that you want to have to do again in 6 months
Most auto parts stores will sell a kit containing everything you need
