Check with the Dealer as there is a recall for rust that addresses the area surrounding the front wheel well and strut housing on your model P/finder. The repair can be quite extensive depending on the servereity.

You should first inspect the rusted areas to make sure that there is no frame or structural compromise. If the frame has been compromised then the rusted parts of the frame need to be cut out and have new and structurally appropriate metal welded in place to repair the damaged areas. On non-structural areas the rust should be completely removed along with a measure of the surrounding areas (think of cancer surgery) and the removed material replaced by welding new metal in place or filling with a good structural epoxy for small areas. The repaired ares should then be sealed with a good acrylic primer ad/or undercoating.

SOURCE: i'm changing my brake pads and discs, but my discs are rusted on

You use a 2x4 with small sledge,or a plastic heavyweight hammer
like mechanics use and do what Emission said. If you soak it make sure its free of this oil when it goes back on,and that no oil will drip from assembly when it goes back on. Beating the disk has always come off with the right hammer without oil.

SOURCE: 2002 nissan pathfinder with frame rusting through

ANY FRAME DAMAGE IS DANGEROUS ! HAVE IT LOOKED AT BY A MECHANIC ASAP. IF YOU ARE TO GET IN A ACCIDENT IT COULD BE VERY BAD NEWS .. IN FACT YOU MIGHT MAKE THE LOCAL NEWS ! DRIVE SLOW AND CAREFULLY TO YOUR LOCAL MECHANIC OR BODY SHOP, HAVE THEM LOOK AT IT.. IT FREE.. JUST ASK THEM IF THEY COULD TAKE A QUICK LOOK AT THE RUST ON MY FRAME AND IS IT SAFE TO DRIVE ?? IT COULD BE THAT THE CAR IS JUNK AND UNSAFE TO DRIVE .. SORRY ABOUT THIS BUT I CARE ABOUT YOU AND YOUR PASSENGERS . SAFETY FIRST.. RUST NEVER SLEEPS.. BEST OF LUCK .. Jay

There is a paint on rust converter . You paint it on the rust and it turns it back into metal . After that i would spray the rubberized under coating to protect it.

Why my gear shift locks when trying to put in reverse?

Are you pressing in the release button on the auto trans selector?
you may need to have the cable that runs from the selector to the trans checked and adjusted, or it might actually be all rusted up if you live in a snowy area.
if there is some other reason for this happening could you get back to us as your answer may help someone else in the future.

How do you fix theparking lights on 1994 nissan pathfinder

You first have to find out why they are not working? Check bilbs first and then bulb sockets for rust/corrosion, install bulbs with socket end coated with dielectric grease. If the bulbs are okay check for current at the socket contacts. Check for a good ground also. ALSO check the lighting fuse. If not any of these you need to start tracing wiring an switching to laocfate the problem.

How long can I expect the muffler/exhaust system to last before needing replacement? My 2003 Pathfinder has about 86,000 miles and entered service in March 2003. Purchased used a little over one year ago.

Under normal conditions they can last 15 years or more..

If the car has been up north in any of the states that salt their roads in the winter - that will sertainly shorten the time..

Or if the car has been on or close to beaches..

Road conditions - debris - puntures - etc....

Hope this helps !!
Please rate me good ;o)
