Question about Cars & Trucks

1 Answer

I have a 04 RR LSE. I just changes the battery in it a couple days ago. The next day the inactive susp system was on and the RR was slammed on the right side. So I took it to a shop yesterday and they clears the fault and it kicked back in and the RR was operating fine. Then this morning the inactive susp system was back on. The vehicle in driving fine and is balances. Any thoughts on what this could be?

SOURCE: I have a 2000 lincoln navigator, 4wd, and my rear

If you can get them inflated there is a switch on the passenger side that you can put in the **** off position till you get the problem resolved. Yet there is a part that is an inline part that can be leaking and must be replaced coast about $30.00. It is located in the engine compartment on the left side fender wall. It is in a airline that feeds to the Air suspension. What I did for a quick fix was a took the line apart place a 3/8 hose over it and clamped it. I have the part and never installed it because the above worked for me. Yet I do here the pump come on more often yet I was told the pump was bad. If you need to contact me email mddoc13@yahoo.com or call 386 252 9987 fax will pick up on the 4th ring. I have a busy day tomorrow but try me later on in the afternoon 4ish. But email with the time you would be calling or leave your number. This information I am giving you cost me $500.00 to get.

You should probably have your ignition switch changed. I replaced the main relay and the fuel pump, then ignition switch. Then had to have my transmission rebuilt.

Hello i have a 2004 expedition , and i have been having issues with my battery draining. about a month and a half ago i went away vacation , came home to start my truck only to relize my battery was dead....

Your solution is a little hard to find too bad they told you to change the alternator. It is a simple fuse you need to change that is blown. on the expetion sometimes there are two one in the fuse box and one under a black cover follow the alternator small wires it should point to the direction of the small i believe 7.5 amp fuse. it was hard to find and i do this for a living. good searching.

Heater is making this werid noise when you turn it up and one day he shut the glove box and it started working this worked up intill couple days ago what do you think this could be?

Bad blower motor or loose electrical connection to the blower motor - My 98 A4 usually required that I slam the glove box in order to get it to work.

Instrument lights, remote door lock, inaction!

That sounds like a faulty connection that's been giving you little warnings for a while.

Likely only a loose connection in the circuit that's associated with both the dashboard instrument cluster and your keyless remote.

Hi.. i have a 2004 range rover and on the message center it tell me that the air suspension is inactive, hdc is inactive as well as selflevel air suspension is inactive... is there any way i can...

The EAS can have many different faults that will give the same warning. I have had several air susp problems. First try to disconnect the battery, wait several minutes reconnect then drive car making at least on full circle. If lights remain, air pump (under spare tire ) can be checked, also valve under a cover behind right front wheel, other than these areas, the Testbook diagnostic at dealer will determine if any other parts are source of problem. Unfortunately, with the complexity of the system many other parts Height sensors, etc, etc can also cause the error message. Good Luck.

Air suspension inactive, HDC inactive, ABS light on, Range Rover

Air Suspension Inactive usually means there is a problem with the Air Suspension. However, it will also come up when alternator or battery voltage is low, or when you reset (disconnect and then connect) the battery. To reset it manually: while in P(ark), turn steering wheel all the way left, hold few seconds, and then all the way right, hold few seconds. All the warning lights will go out. Most common failure is the passenger front air strut, since batteries are prone to leaking acid, it leaks right on top of the rubber airbag and burns through it. Dealer willcharge you one hour to diagnose, or you can easily diagnose this by looking at the ride height of each particular corner of the truck. If its sits low, or emits hissing sound when you park the truck, its leaking. If you keep driving with leaky air strut, you risk burning up the air compressor, as its working extra hard to compensate for the leak. Replacing the strut is easy 45min job even for a novice mechanic, and you can do it yourself. Strut can be found new for approx $750 online. If you are fed up with air suspension issues, there is a $700 kit that converts the truck to springs, and disables all of the air suspension. Look up Arnott Industires
